I need to get this off my chest, and please feel free to unfollow me if you don’t like it, or want to argue with me over this.

Nicola has been gallivanting all over the place with Jake and has been “IG official” since his birthday because of the story she shared. Yet as soon as Luke shared Antonia on his grid, suddenly it’s all ‘how dare he do this to Nicola!’

Are people for real with this bs?

I have never held either Luke or Nic to a higher standard than the other. They are both behaving in the same manner, and have been since the press tour began.

Yet it’s always been a complete double standard. Luke is the asshole. Nic can do no wrong.

I’ve been on the Lukola ship since S1. I will always be a Lukola - endgame, baby! I don’t think it’s a secret where I stand.

I was a fan of Luke first (pre-Bridgerton), then Nic (from Derry Girls). I love them both. I love the idea of them together. I started my Luke-related accounts to help combat the shit that was being spread about him after June 13.

I do not care about Antonia.

I do not care about Jake.

I care about Luke and I care about Nicola. I care about their individual projects. I care about their professional relationship with each other, and I care about their personal relationship with each other - whatever the truth of it is right now.

Whatever is happening, they are behaving in the exact same manner. One is not worse or better than the other.

Both Jake and Antonia were around during the world tour, so spare me the “why was Luke so flirty with Nic if he had a girlfriend? What a shitty boyfriend!” bs.

If Luke is dating Antonia and was back then, piss off with the double standards. Nic would be pretty shitty then too for the way she flirted and behaved around Luke.

But sure, keep those “Nic is innocent of all charges, your honour” blinders on.

And if you’re of the mind that Thursday’s appearance of Luke with Antonia was Luke’s way of diminishing Nicola’s BAFTA nomination for Big Mood and disrespecting Polin fans, please unfollow me on all platforms.

Your “I hate Luke” is showing.

Right this is going to be a long little rant but I’m so pissed off that Nicola’s award moment seems to have ‘fans’ making it all about Jake because he accompanied her to the awards seriously is there zero respect for Nicola’s moment and that some on social media made it all about Jake being there, he was there to support her in her moment he wasn’t making it about himself, he was being a good man and being there for one of his favourite people, but people you need to stop and think before you make her moment about him because she’s done all this work in tv and film, being a supporter of #lgbtq🌈 and #gaza this is ment to be her big moment being celebrated for her work, achievement, activism and always helping others.

She is an incredible person inside and out the work she’s done from the goodness of her heart should be the thing celebrated not a man because he’s accompanied her to and event

P.S I love Jake he’s a wonderful human and cares for others, just like Nic and he has a heart of gold 💛

Bianca, I must share.

After seeing the new BTS footage from the dance rehearsals to the wedding bloopers, I truly believe Luke and Nicola fell in love with each other. Whether they acted on it, or are together right now, doesn’t matter to me anymore. The love they have just radiates out of them in every interaction they have with each other. They cannot hide it, even if they verbally deny it. There are TOO many of us who just SEE it.

My 89 yr old father saw a video from the WT.

Pop: Are those two married in real life?

Me: No, pop. I don’t believe so. They do look cute together though, don’t they?

Pop: I’d bet he puts a ring on her soon. That’s how I used to look at your mother when we were 19. That girl is his whole world. She might not know it yet, but she is.

Often times we are ridiculed in the fandom. Made fun of for believing in what we saw during the WT, yet we read examples like this over and over that validate our thoughts! We saw this during the SAG awards where new people jumped on the boat because of ONE EVENING of interviews together. Imagine what 6 months of world tour; being fed footage daily. Both in video and written form. Interviewers wondered if in fact they were a real couple because of their connection, intimacy and familiarity. The looks and hand holding. The sighs and giggles… so much more to go on. Just imagine!!!

Also, from personal experience. I fell in love with my first love in high school because we were a pair in a wedding and had dance rehearsals for the for a few months. Physical touch does so much without saying a word. The friendship that formed in those months for us, holding each other, holding hands, smelling each other, laughing together, then going out with the friend group lead to us falling in love. It was beautiful and pure and profound.

Why do you think handholding without gloves in that era was not allowed? The spark! It triggers the love hormone. Do you not believe that after being friends for so many years prior to then go to this level of contact nothing was going to happen??

Lock It Down

We've been here before, haven't we? You know... analyzing Nicola's lock screen, trying to figure out who's picture she keeps in this special location. And it is special because as we know, this woman looks at her phone a lot!

This time though - especially after the hullabaloo and bickering between the Lukola and Jakola ships back in November 2024 (Harper's Bazaar "Woman of the Year 24") over the man's image and name - we Lukola lovers didn't want to spend energy on something we knew no one could properly solve. Besides; we know her man is Luke, so why bother?! Ha!

Yet there was something about the lock screen image in the photo below that niggled at my brain. I'd pick up my phone to look, then shake my head and swipe away... and again a few times more. Then it came to me = there was an overlaid image down in the bottom right hand corner!

I immediately connected with my friend F @mrsfingertondepanini and asked her opinion. "Maybe?" was her response. "Hmmmm", I thought. A busy momma of scrambley young boys, that's all I got from her. So I sat with it a bit longer, unsure about sharing with anyone else because I knew that anything lock screen was so November 2024!

Eventually I shared the theory with my other chat-group friend Angela. She says to me, "I can never see anything! Let's see what you've got." Wouldn't you know it; she could see it too! We even spent a bit of time speculating on what the image might be.

Fast forward to today (Saturday, April 5th). I shared the theory during one of my regular Lukola Love Livestreams. Angela was on panel with me, as well as Lindsay from all.things.bridgerton (TT & IG - amazing edits!). Between them, and those participating in the live's chat, we all agreed that something was there...

...and we even agreed on what image it was!

After attempting an inadequate quick side-by-side, who should chime in from chat but my friend F mrsfingertondepanini: "I can do a quick overlay fade video!"

Yes please F!!!

To say that I am absolutely thrilled with this discovery would be an understatement!!
