Stella, aka Storytelling art , just wrapped up a pretty special commission 😍

This piece of watercolor magic was gifted to someone who really knows their timepieces.

Stella usually paints fantasy worlds, not hyper-realistic objects, ”but it was a peculiar request so I took it” 🙏🏼

The commissioner was a dream: patient, involved in the process, and genuinely excited from first sketch to delivery. And in the end, they were very happy with the result.

Commissioning art is always a collaborative journey, and we’re here to help make it smooth and inspiring.

POV: Marco Bernardini supports our platform 🤯

This month Mecenates visited Lucca Comics & Games, handing out flyers, talking with independent artists… and the message was loud and clear: people want a platform like us protecting real art. No AI, no NFTs. That point hit harder than anything else.

We also had the chance to meet Marco Bernardini, one of the top map makers in the world. He immediately got what Mecenates stands for, and we’re more than happy to say we’re arranging a giveaway with him next year. The support means a lot. Stay tuned!

In the meanwhile, we will keep defending human-made art.

Building characters one at a time… 😍

Dan, aka Ooliab, brings stories to life through bold lines, dynamic anatomy, and a love for all things games, comics, and fantasy.

His illustrations blend imagination with precision, whether he’s designing a character, sketching the pulse of a city, or creating playful visuals for kids and teen books.

Working digitally (and occasionally traditionally), Dan can guide you through every step from the first sketch to the final colors. Whatever you dream up, he’s ready to draw it!

Behind the raffle winner’s commissioned artwork 👇🏼

In September, we arranged an art raffle where the winner received a commissioned artwork by @caemielilium 😍

Here’s how Caemi’s process began, and step by step, how it reached the final piece.

The winner asked Caemi to draw their character, Asaru, as the subject of the Major Arcana tarot card; The Fool.

They provided both written and visual references for Asaru’s appearance and outfit.

Caemi also asked about the specific elements or symbolism they wanted included. For this piece, the commissioner shared a short list of meaningful details connected to Asaru.

Commissioning art is always a collaborative journey, and we’re so happy to help make it smooth and inspiring.
