I finished this quilt months ago, but never got around to taking a picture of it. It has since been covered in cat hair. My first go at free motion quilting, and it’s not the best. I do think it appears like bee buzzing swirls so I’ll take it.

I’ve been working on a quilt project. It’s the Beehive pattern from Elizabeth Hartman, that came as a kit with the suggested fabrics.

Got back into sewing this year by making a cute pillow! It’s a pin-tucked pillow made out of a plush one-way stretch celestial fabric from Joann Fabrics. It lives in the wing back chair now.

The local pet adoption place advertised a cat to be adopted that “needs” to be an indoor/outdoor cat and I just want to leave a nasty comment about it but won’t. Seriously though, keep your kitties inside.

I’m teaching my kitty boy some tricks with the use of a clicker and some very tasty treats.

It’s just basic things right now until he gets the hang of it.

So far he taps my hand with his paw in various ways. Such a good boy.

My sewing machine

I dropped my machine off at the local quilt shop for the repair man to pick up. My sewing desk seems so empty now. But a freshly serviced machine is going to be so nice. Maybe I’ll actually be able to sew the shirt I’ve been planning for months now.

Had one of those nights working kennel last night. I cleaned and packed the same OVH pack and gown pack that I cleaned and packed the night before. And I used the same towel to dry the treatment tables as I did the night before (washed between uses). I hate repeat nights.

I’m part of an online school Facebook group and someone posted they were having difficulties with their research paper. They couldn’t find accurate sources for why GMO’s are harmful.

My tarantula is remodeling her home, which is fine, but she keeps excavating her bedding into her water dish
