Liko's Charcadet (and future Armarouge) being her knight in shining armor, especially once it becomes Armarouge...and it chose to serve her by kneeling, wanting to protect her.

And then you realize that she lives in a mansion, and it's implied her parents Alex and Lucca are extraordinarily rich. Not to mention Diana tends to live in castles.

Oh my god, Liko is a princess.

And the Rising Volt Tacklers are "the princess's bodyguards". Friede especially, but Roy, Dot, and Uruto are also members of her court. Lucca hired a group of mercenary adventurers travelling on an airship to serve as her daughter's bodyguards. Liko really is royalty.

Amethio is also a prince, and Ceruledge is his knight. Zirc and Onia are "the prince's retainers," with Amethio as their liege. Hamber was Gibeon's advisor and retainer, and Amethio's teacher, instructing him alongside the knights and generals Coral, Sidian, and Chalce.

And Amethio also lives in a mansion.

They are all royalty, actually.

The original Explorers Lucius, Rystal, and Gibeon are all royalty and their bloodlines are royal bloodlines, with Liko and Amethio as the newest members. And the rest of the RVT and modern Explorers alike are the members of the court built around them.

Except for Spinel. He, Indy, and Rubella are fakers and posers. A scientist with an alien and UFO and two weirdos with Tauros are no royalty, now get outta here you three.

The RVT are finally together again, Friede is alive... AND DAMN THAT MOMENT WHEN DOKIMEKI DIARY STARTED! I CRIED SO MUCH!

head in hands. no because how the fuck did spinel convince crave to hand over the company like that. my personal bet is on the fact that crave isnt not the president anymore, he might just be in a state of grief from being told that amethio died and stepped back from making decisions?

either that or he DID resign and hand over exceed, but that would make no sense considering that hamber said they think he's full of shit. most likely i think it was a decision crave made in the moment to let spinel be the public facing head of company a year ago due to grief, and as time passed he started to become suspicious as to spinels true motives

but also. can we talk about how crave probably thought that the rvt killed his son. im going to seriously lose it

I disliked the two Friede episodes.

I'd like to make it clear that this is not a Friede hate post. What I am truly frustrated at is the narrative decisions that warped his character into something unlikeable to me. He had a lot of potential on this arc, but it got thrown away.

Ranting under the line, you have been warned.

Friede just let his found family believe that he was dead just for the writers to turn it into a joke at the end, and that just feels so wrong to me. We saw the emotional effect of seeing Friede fall and thinking he was gone took on the crew, especially Orla. But the only one who actually expresses anger at Friede is Cap, in a scene that kind of feels like it’s supposed to be funny.

LI’m sorry, there is NO good reason for Friede to have not contacted the crew as soon as he got out of Rakua. He could have chased after the Brave Asagui, he could have called any of them at any time, he still had his phone. He could have called Professor Lucca, or literally anyone. He could have gotten in contact with Geeta through Steven. But he didn't.

This situation feels very similar to Valka from the HTTYD franchise. It damages their character and muddies our view of them, because there were people who loved, and cared about them, who thought they were dead, and they never made the effort to reach out. Granted, Friede’s situation is even worse than Valka’s to me because it feels like checking on his crew and kids to know if they made it out safe and letting them know that he was alive and well never even crossed his mind. Like he genuinely forgot.

But let's be honest. How in the world do you forget to get in contact with your family after you went through a near death situation that they witnessed? If I were the RVT I would take Friede to take a brain scan ASAP, there is no way he doesn't have a serious memory problem.

And yes. I know it's a recurring joke on the show. But it stopped being funny when the situation became so serious.

Also, it’s ridiculous to say that Roy gathered the RVT back together when Liko and Dot were literally there the entire time??? What do you mean? Why does Roy get to be the leader, and battle Friede in a climactic battle while Dot and Liko, the other two protagonists who were there every single step of the way doing just as much important things as Roy did, just watch by the sidelines?

I also dislike that Friede got two megas, Roy has a mega, Ult has two megas, and the girls have NOTHING. Liko, Roy and Dot are supposed to be a trio, the soul, the heart and the brains. And it just doesn't feel that way anymore. And Friede really was acting like an ass during the second episode. He left these guys in the dark for a year, yells at them when they want him to take his post back (one I don't really think he deserves after these two episodes), and then leaves again immediately, leaving Cap so that Roy may continue to be the Ash rip-off he has been cursed to be by the narrative.

He could have been a prisoner to rescue, so that the kids could protect him like he had once protected them. He could have been a brainwashed enemy, so that the kids would actually have stakes when battling him with their new power.

I’ve always had complicated feelings about Friede. I heavily dislike the way he treated Amethio in the first seasons, but overall, to fulfill his narrative role well. He was a mentor and father figure that the kids could look up to and strive to be like. But now that the kids are at his level (or at least Roy is, because Liko and Doy are never given the chance to battle him), what role does he have in the story?

But no. He was in space. Uhu.

I wanted to make a timeskip based drawing. Of when after a while she finally rejoins the rvt to make things right but this is like the beginning of that. She is looking out over the sea of clouds. Thinking.

What if things could have taken a different turn? Is there any fixing this. And will she take on the role of pokemon ranger once again?
