jake & audrey.
Jake took the threat serious when he got a text from some unknown contact, demanding he ditch Brooke at Hell Fest or risk losing her to the death toll. Which is why he called for backup to keep an eye on her. He still wasn’t sure if he was going to ditch her yet, but he did give her a fair warning on what was going on. Jake showed her the text after they had sex at her mother’s suite, which was when he received it. He honestly wasn’t sure who would want them apart? Why would someone want him to ditch Brooke? The only person who had a problem with him was Quinn, and he didn’t even know he was seeing his daughter behind closed doors. Other than him, there was Stu? And Audrey…who seemed to have a problem with him after he showed up at Brooke’s house three hours late, expecting to stay the night. So when Jake noticed Audrey standing with Brooke, he crept over cautiously, avoiding Audrey’s mumbled ‘hey’ which seemed more forced than genuine. She shouldn’t have even tried. “I know I am. I think I saw your parents in one of the haunted houses, Audrey. Looked just like you.” He grinned over his shoulder at the audience behind him. They knew what he was talking about. The employees were wearing bloody pig masks in their attempt to strike fear into their hearts. But the only one screaming was Brooke.

Given the threat Jake received via text, (which imposed on her life) Brooke made Jake swear that he wouldn’t leave her side at any point during the night. Even if she got mad at him for something stupid, or she needed to do something as simple as using the bathroom, he was instructed to stay close by. It was either that or Brooke wasn’t going to come to Hell Fest at all. And Jake had put in a lot of physical effort into getting her to agree to accompany him. He was banking on this night as much as she was banking on making out of it alive. Truthfully, Brooke didn’t know if any of the threats were real but, she didn’t want to chance it. She was too young and too fruitful to die. That much she was certain of.
“Hey Audrey,” Brooke greeted her new friend with a smile. She looked over at Audrey’s costume and in the process, tried to determine what it was she was dressed as but gave up after a full minute and was gearing up to ask. Though, she never got the chance as Audrey’s gaze shifted from her to Jake. He was still feeling territorial from the night before and decided to greet Audrey in a less than friendly manner. But, in his point of view, Audrey wasn’t being very welcoming to him either. “Jake,” Brooke sighed as she hit his stomach with her knuckles. Not hard enough to hurt him (quite truthfully, he was ripped so he barely even felt it) but with enough force that she hoped to get her point across. “What I think Jake means to say, is that it’s nice to see you. Right Jake?” Brooke turned to him with a glare, which warned him that he better play along or he could forget about getting any more nookie after the night was over. “And anyway,” Brooke tried to salvage the conversation so far at least, by snapping her attention back over to Audrey. Meanwhile, she stepped in front of Jake and leaned back against his chest before taking his arms and looping them around her stomach. “What are you supposed to be? I’m not sure I’m familiar with the character.” Brooke, on the otherhand, was a sexy feline.
