Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted any comics recently. I decided to post this one even though it's not quite finished... I started it awhile back then took a break from drawing to reflect on how I want to improve the series. I've decided I would like to take some classes and improve my art before continuing the series. So I will no longer be posting comics every Friday. Once I feel my drawing has improved I'll start posting regularly again. Anyway I hope you like this last one, even though it's not finished and it's a bit sloppy 😅.

So here's a new comic I'm working on...

So i just started working at sbux and since i dont know how to make drinks yet they threw me on store support without actually showing me how its done??? And i suck really bad and i feel really bad. Any tips before i make everyone in the store hate me????

Customer/store support is basically being a bar back in a bar. You do the back work. So when you start the coffee timer think of it as starting over. In my head I turn it into a game and act like every time I start the timer, it’s a new level. If the timer goes off while I’m doing something, I failed the level. If I’m done with all my tasks and just doing lobby slides & the timer goes off, I passed. It’s weird but it makes it more bearable. But here are some ways to help

1. Check your signals first! Always go for those first because you always need it when you’re out of it. Even if the signal isn’t in the place where it’s suppose to be when its empty, check the bar. Check your syrups & bases. Then move on to frap roast and sauces. 2. Check your bottles like caramel & mocha. If they need filling do those.3. Check your cups & lids if they need to be stocked, do that. Also do straws, napkins, etc. 4. Check your dishes, if you have a lot get started on them. If not, you can normally move on. 5. Check the beans in the hopper, if they look low, fill them. Also change the sanitizer water & towel if they need to be replaced & look cloudy.6. If sweeping needs to be done, do that but try to stay out of anyone’s way. 7. Do a lobby slide, clean the tables, refill the breve if you need to & stock sugars. 8. Wipe down counters & inside of cabinets if they look dirty.

Customer support is a tough role because in a rush, customer support is always in your way. When you get trained, you’ll see what I mean. It doesn’t mean they are mad at you. Also be fast but thorough. If you are having troubles, ask one of your trainers to go into more depth when it’s not too busy. As a trainer, it’s more respected that you say you don’t understand rather than let us think you do. Back tracking is annoying so always be upfront if you don’t understand. All the baristas understand what it was like their first few weeks. It’s a train wreck with everyone because there is so much information being shoved in your face at once. Don’t worry. Your manager would not have hired you if they didn’t think you could do the job. :)

This is great. I've worked for Starbucks for almost a year now, and no one really “trained” me on store support. I pretty much just figured it out as I went along. These are great tips, I'm going to implement them in our store 😁

Brorista number 6 is here! Now I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. Anyone can pull trash not just guys! It's just this really happens to me quite often and it's become a sort of inside joke for us. Anyone else seem to be stuck as the trash person at their store? Let me know in the comments! Also I apologize for the sketchy art this week, I'm using a new app and trying to get used to it!
