Enjin and Riyo donât stop by the well, no one does and Zanka meets his end clutching the worthless stick he picked
That should be the end of Zanka Nijiku but lovely refuses it and fuses them together reviving Zanka making no longer human but not exactly an object either
Zanka thinks heâs hallucinating at first, surely the stick is still there and surely he doesnât have a wooden spine and vines growing out of him. Surely. But it is, he can feel anima coursing through his body he can tell that even though heâs starving and dehydrated heâs not dying from it and it hits him what happened to him.
Few days later Enjin and Riyo actually end up stopping by the well but instead of meeting a suicidal teen they meet a very confused young⌠something and of course they bring him to cleaner HQ cause thereâs no way theyâre leaving him alone after he told him he died and came back as jinki
And so the wouldâve been future hellguard Zanka Nijiku dies and Cleaner Zanka Lovely is born!

AHHH i have so many questions. Could this possibly mean that Rudo could "activate" Zanka because he's like. Somewhat jinki. Like could you imagine...spikes growing out of Zanka, wooden limbs stretching, the symbol of what shouldve been his name on his chest...ACKKK
Zanka dying should already be very damning evidence that the Hell Guard and the Nijikus are neglectful of him and shouldnt have a say in where he ends up...but then they could also use it to deepen their hatred for jinkis and Givers
Do you see now the horror of being so attached to a mere item? You could be intertwined with it, literally! Where does giver start and jinki end? Are you truly Zanka, or are you just the vital instrument he was weak enough to choose?
I know Zanka and Lovely are going through an identity crisis...is Lovely actually like. "Present"? Or is the only remnants of her left just Zanka's wooden parts and the anima?
Ackk and it just makes Zanka's assimilation into the Cleaners harder...people won't stop looking at him. Make them stop. Stop it. Don't look at me like that! Like- like I'm some sort of monster. Because I'm not.
And maybe it reminds him of how his classmates look at him too. As someone untouchable, someone they can never understand...I think it would be cute though if Guita isnt scared of him. She even finds it cool! She's a huge help in getting him to open up and be comfortable with himself
