This is... definitely the rarest pair I've ever drawn. I did it for one of my beautiful friends "just for funsies", as they said. They made it their phone screen and I almost cried from how sweet that was π But the more we talked about the ship, the more it... made sense??
Edge meets canon Asgore and is like... where's your evilness? Your menacing aura?? Your bloodlust?! You're pathetic! And Asgore is like yeah... I know... π
They learn from each other how to be better versions of themselves. Edge teaches him how to overcome his grief and become a more confident ruler, and in turn Asgore teaches Edge how to be more in tune with his emotions. They both respect each other and are mature enough to handle each others' unusual temperaments.
