final play eval
1. explain your choices for physicality of the character in your performance
the physicality of my character was that i choose to look shocked when grandma (Tia) told us about the plague and to also react when my sister (Anna) was being annoying. in terms of what i thought worked and didn't work, i didn't think my facial expressions were clear enough to understand let alone see so if i did this again i would make them my expressions clearer, make my actions bigger and speak louder.
2. Explain your choices for your vocal performance –
For my vocal performance i tried to sound more of a moody teenager who didn't want to be there
3. Explain your role in the whole rehearsal process –
my role for this was costume and that meant looking and what they would have worn in 1665\66 also what the rich would have worn and what the poorer people would have worn
4. If you took part in this process again what would you do differently?
if i was to do this again i think id get more involved and have more of an input on how we would do thinks so like what we were doing in warm ups, who was doing tech, dancing or acting
5. How did you interact with your audience?
i looked over their heads when i needed to make eye contact because i cant look people in the eye without feeling off put or judged, in terms of moving to interact with the audience i didn't move apart from the first scene and second to last scene
6. What did you want your audience to feel/react like in your performance?
- Be specific – did it work? How do you know this?
7. How did you show your focus and concentration on stage? Do you think you focused well?
i would turn to Tia when she was telling more of the story so it looked like i was listening and look to the other side of the stage to watch what everyone else was doing
8. What did the audience think about your own performance?
they thought i played my character well and i was believable also that i had a good comedy element
9. What did the audience think about the whole performance?
the audience liked the story overall and thought the script worked well, they also liked how the costume fitted the time period the other think they didn't like about the performance was the talking coming from backstage as it made it hard to hear what people were saying
10. What elements in the performance worked well? Why?
11. What could you improve on?
