I LOST MY BLOG

GUYS OH MY GOD I’m so sorry I haven’t been posting!!! Duh like I know I’ve been crappy with posting lately, but this time I had a legit reason.

So when I started my fitspo blog, I found it kinda hard to manage all 4 blogs of mine in the tumblr app, so I switched this blog and the fitspo blog over to a different email. When that happened, I was an idiot and typed in the wrong email so basically a verification email was sent to the wrong email. I was on for so long in a dumb email thread with tumblr support who wasn’t of much help even when I proved to them that I owned the blog, and then today I finally decided to try and see what other variations of the email i wanted to use i could have signed up with. So I finally regained access of my blogs and switched the email back to the correct one and now I can post stuff again!!!! yahhhhhhh

thank you so much for being so patient with my uninspired and lost ass haha I’ll be posting as I get new ideas, I’m kindof dead at the moment so that’s why I haven’t had a lot of new ideas but I’l get posting soon! let me know if you have any ideas or any problems you’d like me to post or whatever!!

To the anon asking about a Nepali love interest!!

Here is some more advice from @giilgamesh ! "To the person wanting to learn more about the nepali dude, ask him about the most recent time he's been to Nepal, what he did, and if he plans to visit anytime soon. Speaking from personal experience,if there's one thing nepali people love to talk about, it's Nepal itself. Ask him about all the places he went and all the things he did! It'll help him open up to you more about himself and it'll help you learn more about the culture there as well. Also two major holidays there are Dashain(duh-shaai) and Tihar(Tee-har). They usually happen in like September/October so they're still a ways away but ask him to explain them to you and tell you all his stories about them, cause I can almost guarantee that he'll have some. Update:

Hi guys! So sorry I haven’t been posting, my semester is so ridiculously hard and my course load is killing me and also I had to work out serious relationship issues for the first two weeks of the semester so I’ve been meh for a while. But after this week I’ll be a bit more active.

But since I’m a typical procrastinator and I have my first exam tomorrow at 11:30 am, I’m doing a following/liking spree on Instagram!! Hi! My ethnicity is white but I'm about to start dating a bit from Nepal. I want to learn more about his culture and What not to let him know I value everything about him the way he does with me. How should I go about it?

This might be a long rant because I just had an experience with this. 

So first of all, don’t assume anything from what you’ve seen in media or representations of the nepali culture in pop culture. Do some research do learn about major holidays or something, just so you can have a vague idea of it. Then tell him you’re interested and want to learn more and ask him to bring you to different holiday celebrations or something. I guess just genuinely seem interested to learn about it. Not like the whole stereotypical and mean idea of “omg im a white girl who just loveeess golden buddhas and bindis SO CUTE” you know? just seem truly curious and interested. And if worse comes to worst, just be a mature adult and talk to him about it and be like “hey im interested in you, and I know your culture is a huge important part of you, and I want you to know I’m in this entirely and want to learn about your culture and you as much as I can!” or something like that, you know? Idk how old you are, but like in a relationship, I’d say be the mature adult about it and just lay it all out on the table and say you’re interested in learning about it and want him to know that you’re not gonna let cultural barriers that can be easily overcome stand in the way of being with him! :)

So I'm a paki living in London and I was expecting to be able to relate to everything but no? Very different lifestyle even though I'm brown. Maybe not brown people problems just Indian?😁

I tried posting this but I guess it didn't work. But basically, I know this, I try to make things that appeal to everyone, but again, I'm Indian, so I write what I know! I ask some of my other brown friends for their experience and I get some ideas, but again, not a whole lot. And I totally understand what you're saying! That being said, maybe your experience is different from what a lot of other people experience, but who am I to judge? I guess the solution to this would be to send me some of your ideas or things you've dealt with so I can get a good representation. Telling me my blog is inaccurate kinda hurts my feelings and makes me feel like I'm not keeping the blog up the way I should, but again it's allllll up to you to tell me how you want to be represented. There's only so much I can work with.
