Queen School; A Short Story
By me, based on true events and inspired by RuPaulâs Drag Race.
   My first day; I walked into the room and the stares shot up so fast they nearly pinned me to the wall. The library was open and I was being read to filth as the gothic weeaboo I was. Even the teacher knew! She sat me down next to the only other two spooky queens in the back of the classroom.
      To be honest, I donât remember much after that except for foolishly thinking the library was closed because I stupidly assumed I was among sisters. Not two sentences into my contribution to the conversation, this busted otaku butch had the audacity to read me as pathetic. I. Was. FURIOUS. Shortly after, I realized âpatheticâ seemed to be the only adjective she knew.
      With this new found fury I went straight home after school, took to pen and paper and dragged her name in the dirt. It was a beautiful masterpiece handed to me for the poetry slam competition at the end of the week. Armed with words and dangerously confident, I was ready to redeem myself.
      As the days passed I kept my composure and planned my takeover. The Riverdale Queen School for Girls was the most competitive entertainment prep school in the country, and I was determined to show these ladyboys what a real queen looked like. Especially that Hot Topic clearance rack butch queen. Each week, we queens were subjected to competitions that tested our charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. This time, I was gonna take them all down with the most epic read from the library.Â
      Sweating in my stilettos, I walked up to the mic, took a deep breath and swung away. I was slandering that spooky butch with every line break right off the bat. Letting those reads roll off my tongue, while her cheap concealer creased! She gagged on my every word and it was everything! When I finished my slam I looked up to find the whole crowd on their feet begging for more. I vanished without an encore because I got what I needed: the glorious sight of a queen gagging on her own tea.

She's absolutely Deplorable
as she complains about her life
The way she thinks she's better
is completely Distressing
When on the inside, you see that she's quite Feeble
It's considerably Heartbreaking
The ways she portrays herself is Heartrending
She speaks so poorly of others
because she feels Inadequate
She knows her character is Lamentable,
so she lashes out
with her Meager words
to make herself feel better
She's Melting
in her Miserable pool of self-pity
It's Moving
in a way
It seems as though her Paltry ways
somehow earns other peoples' empathy
It's a Petty,
she's probably a good person
underneath her Piteous shell,
but who knows?
It's Pitiable
No one will ever truly know her
because she's so involved with her "Pitiful" life
Plaintive, I know
Her judgment of the world is so Poignant
She views it as if everyone around her is Poor,
but what makes her so high and mighty?
If she's so doughty,
then why is her outlook so Rueful?
I feel Sorry that
she doesn't know the joy of being herself
She hides behind Tender walls,
drowning in her Woeful ways and
to her, talking is Useless
because she claims to know
everyone's "simple" thoughts
as if she's the superior one
Her attitude is Touching,
really,
I would've never guessed,
my own "Worthless" thought process
could be explained to me
by someone who claims to be
the opposite of
Pathetic
