People will make mental gymnastic about how ace people "can't suffer from hypersexuality" as if hypersexuality was a label and not a condition that produces high stress, depression and even suicidal urges and it's often caused by trauma such as sexual harrasment, exposition towards adult content at a young age or sexual abuse, also including CSA.
A less than 2 seconds search on fucking Wikipedia will tell you the same thing. even Wikipedia agrees. WIKIPEDIA.
An ace person can also suffer it, and we are often invisibilized when talking about it, along with people often making acusations of "then you aren't really ace then!". As if Hypersexuality was this self proclaimed identity and not a mental disorder, condition, whatever you want to call it that not only affects the mental health of the person, but also causes people to be on the risk on to be on unprotected sexual relationships, painful compulsive sexual behaviours (like sexual intrusive thoughts or compulsive/painful masturbation), painful urination, yeast infections due to incorrect masturbation habits (such as holding your urine) or to even get a STI.
Hypersexuality is medical condition. It's not the same as being "sex positive". Those are two different terms that have nothing to do with each other.

After everything they'd gone through together, all their history, their love spanning 6000 years, they literally vanished into dust.
Their "human versions" are not them. They met each other in their 50s? 60s? and will get like 30 or so years together.
No sticking together for centuries despite being from opposite factions in an eternal conflict, no developing their rivalry, friendship, and eventually love throughout the ages, no having each other's back despite the dangers of doing so, no bickering, no rescuing each other, no "you go too fast for me, Crowley", no 'our' Bentley, no "angel" as a pet name, NO THEM. At all.
This is my worst nightmare I'm going the fuck back to sleep.
I mean, I liked it, I also cried, I think it is beautifully written, but it didn't satisfied me. At all. It left a bad taste in my mouth, a deep feeling of melonchony.
Because okay, they met again in another universe. Okay, they spent the rest of their life together, they married and lived happily.
But. They are not them anymore. They are not our Aziraphale and Crowley, they are completely different people, not the characters I learned to love, and it's so frustrating.

A couple months ago I posted a (very short) story. I marked it as the first chapter of two because I thought it would be fitting to have a second chapter to show what happened after, but I wasn’t sure if I would ever actually write it; I wasn’t very motivated. I drafted a start for the second chapter but then left it there, moved on to other wips.
A person commented the first chapter enthusiastically and subscribed.
Today I wrote and posted the second chapter, literally just for her. I was ready to let that story die there, but I didn’t, because *one* person was interested in it.
Which is to say: do comment on stories you love!! Do it in any case, but especially if they have little to no feedback. You might very well be the reason the author decides to post more about it. 🧡

I imagine Luke Castellan's breakdown (Percy Jackson) being very similar to Suguru Geto's breakdown (Jujutsu Kaisen).
It happens slowly, mission after mission, death after death, his eyes turning souless, realizing a life like that is pointless, understanding that he and his friends/comrades are fighting to death for individuals who don't really care about them and if they die, who will never even say "thank you" for their struggles. That they are nothing more than weapons in someone else's hands, in a bigger and more ancient game than them.
And it is when Luke fully realizes it, that he snaps, deciding to turn against the system he lived until that moment, betraying the people who once trusted him. Just like Suguru.
I hope someone else sees the connections between them :D
among all this talk about space i must remind everyone that dante's divine comedy was launched in space in 2021 and will be floating eternally through the cosmos as "testimony of human ingenuity" (the exact word was ingegno. which makes me normal). the magnum opus of this small, human man who died centuries ago will be travelling further than even his own enormous genius could possibly imagine or think possible. and it will do so on behalf of all humankind. which is exactly what he would've wanted but so, so, so far beyond his wishes. i wish he could know about it

The Blood-Soaked Road to Paradise by renyanen; E, 140k words
Hashirama and Madara’s story, from childhood to Valley of the End. This fic is the holy grail. I was not okay after I read it, it moved me so much I actually wanted to write an essay. It is a true slow burn; the tension is to die for and the canon compliancy hurts so dang good. The writing is elaborate and profound. I am in awe of the research that was done to complete this fic.
The Moon is Just the Sun at Night by Makkoska; E, 27k words
Really creative fix it. Hashirama unable to commit to killing Madara in their final battle, a conundrum follows. The dynamic of their relationship is so interesting here. Some of the dialogue blew my mind. I was so drawn in by this story, hooked until the very end to see what would happen next.

Another amazing and essential Makkoska fix it. I think this one is underrated! It’s extremely creative, and another very interesting dynamic between them. Amnesiac Hashirama, Izanagi’d Madara finds him. They’re both tired old men, which is a lot of fun. (Melancholic and bittersweet vibes are fun for me). Super lovely fic.

Lovely progression of Hashirama and Madara’s relationship alongside the founding of Konoha. Beautiful writing and dynamic between them. I love the way their love is written in this fic, their interactions in this fic have really stuck with me. It’s unfinished with slow updates but I’m not someone to shy away from unfinished fics, I’ve read so many lovely fics this way and I don’t regret a minute of it!
