Arachne was surprised by how much prettier her tribute was in person. Even with the dirt caked into her skin and nails, Brandy’s strong features and piercing blue eyes stood out strikingly against her dirty clothes and dull blonde hair. Her lips looked red, cracked and a little puffy - probably from biting them, Arachne noted.

Satosugu and Hashimada Parallels (Part 2)
[Part 1]
By their third year, Suguru has plunged into the depths of depression: while a year earlier he had firmly believed in his moral principles (that a sorcerer’s duty was to protect the weak, specifically, non-sorcerers), the experiences of the past year (the deaths of Riko and Haibara) have caused him to question everything he once thought.
Why must sorcerers sacrifice themselves for people who are unaware of what is being done for them and will never even thank them? People who, in fact, hate and fear them.
Why are they, the stronger ones, forced to suffer for the sake of the weak and ungrateful ones?
The final straw is, of course, this terrible scene.
Madara, meanwhile, gradually comes to view the village (a project he once believed in with all his heart) as nothing more than an illusion, a childish dream. Even with the village, there will be no peace, especially not for the Uchiha, who remain feared and hated by other clans because of the Sharingan.
His primary concern is, naturally, Tobirama, Hashirama’s likely successor as Hokage.
Despite their wrong methods, Geto and Madara are both ultimately right in their criticisms.
Madara foresaw the treatment the Uchiha clan would eventually face after Hashirama's death. He predicted that the village's clans could not coexist peacefully for long, just as he realized that establishing ninja villages would not lead to peace at all, but rather to further wars, even if in a different form.
And that is precisely what happened: other wars, other children sent to die on the battlefield. The very things Madara and Hashirama had spent their entire lives to prevent.
Geto, meanwhile, is actually right about the senselessness of sorcerers' sacrifices: what's the point of fighting and dying in a battle that is endless? His frustration and growing hate for humanity is understandable, especially because he is the only one who can know the horrible flavor of curses. He is the only one who know how the worst side of humanity taste.
Thus, Geto and Madara find themselves at odds with the ideals of Gojo and Hashirama.
All of them seek to challenge the status quo of their societies.
Yet, they do it in different ways.
Suguru and Madara want to destroy that society.
Satoru and Hashirama want to change it from within by training the next generations.
Hashirama rebels against the existing order by founding the village, an endeavor initially viewed by everyone as an utopia, while Gojo is in a constant struggle against the conservatism of the sorcerer world, to which he is openly hostile.
Ultimately, however, the divergences in their views are too great, these relationships cannot endure.
And so, a definitive break up occurs: Suguru and Madara abandon respectively Satoru and Hashirama, leaving behind everything they had built together and everything they had known until then, to pursue their own ideals.
Satoru and Suguru, much like Hashirama and Madara, meet again years later, this time as enemies.
And the strongest prevail.
Satoru and Hashirama still love Suguru and Madara.
But for the sake of what they swore to protect, they must destroy every threat. And so, Satoru has no choice but to kill Suguru, just as Hashirama is forced to kill Madara at the Valley of the End (or at least he thought he had kill him).
But their stories don't end there. Like all great love stories, their bonds transcend the boundaries of death <3
Suguru's body is taken over and possessed by Kenjaku, so the man inhabiting it isn't truly Geto.
Yet, incredibly, that corpse still retains flashes of autonomous bodily memory, meaning his consciousness is still in there somewhere.
And what does that tiny remnant of Suguru's consciousness do? It rebels against Kenjaku to protect Satoru.
And Satoru - the invincible Satoru, viewed by all as more god than human - has a single moment of weakness that proves fatal.
That weakness, so deeply human, is none other than Suguru Geto.
Madara and Hashirama, meanwhile, return from death with Edo Tensei tecnique, reuniting on the battlefield after decades.
They too remain obsessed with each other, especially Madara >:)
I’ll let this famous scene speak for itself, it says it all.
(the way Madara's face switch from excitement to disappointment is pure gold, I love them-)
Conclusion: Idk I just love overthinking about characters and ships I like, and I want that more people see the parallels between these two ships that I love so much!
I mean, I know that Hashimada is (unfortunately) way less popular than Sasunaru, but I want people to see my vision 😭
I’ve always loved the parallels between these two pairs, not only becaus of their similar dynamics and personalities, but also because of the absolute devotion and mutual respect that endure even after they’ve become enemies in a love-hate relationship.
I love the fact that they always reunite somehow, even after their death, as well as the way they keep protecting each other despite everything.
Like when Hashirama and Madara choose each other over their own clans (you know, the scene where they use stones to warn one another about their parents' ambush), or when Suguru continues to protect Satoru even if he is dead because, I quote, "Geto's body fought back against Kenjaku not because he was alive, but because protecting Gojo Satoru came easy, it was all muscle memory."
Yeah. Great. But if you want, you can keep call me delusional for shipping them, okay? ✋😞
Satosugu and Hashimada Parallels (Part 1)
Just another day thinking how people often compare Satosugu to Sasunaru, while I say: yes, Satosugu mirrors a popular ship from Naruto, but I don't think it's Sasunaru, it's ✨ Hashimada ✨
Now, Satosugu and Sasunaru surely have a lot in common (their personalities, the fact that at one point their goals are completely different so one leave the other, the fact that they are literally soulmates written in the stars, the "my one and only" line), but I've always seen more parallels with Hashimada, and I believe that Satosugu mirrors Hashimada better.
bigger italian cities are somewhat used to the overtourism by now but i cannot describe the feeling of being from a smaller city and watching it change from people in your own country barely acknowledging its existence at all to exploding with tourism so fast you can watch the place you were born and raised in your entire life completely change face beyond recognition in real time by the day and push citizens further and further back to the margins
Now that everyone is discussing Nolan's Odyssey movie, I feel like it's a good time to let non-Italians know that the production dumped plastic props into the Italian sea. Weirdly enough I could not find any article in English about it but it's a fucking problem nonetheless.
I might translate this article later today. This one was the most complete one, even in Italian news it's not talked about that much.

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku were very bored, very smart children and now that they are older, they are making it everyone's problem.
Or,
Bakugou and Midoriya made a secret language when they were children and now use it as teenagers and the one time class 1a witnesses the two 'talking'.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
They grew up together, it only makes sense that their personalities have bled over and that they've picked up traits from each other. It just might not be the ones you would think and it might not have ended in childhood.
or,
five times Midoriya and Bakugou show class 1a that they are perhaps more alike than they previously thought due to their shared childhood and one time they copy the other despite now being teenagers and "not friends."
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Sometimes class 1a forgot that Midoriya and Bakugo grew up together. To be fair to them, it was an easy thing to do – after all its not like they acted much like childhood friends, but like with everything, the duo had a way of surprising even the most serious of their class.
They just didn't expect to be reminded with the words 'wiggle' and 'Japtain Cack Sparrow' but that's just how life works sometimes.

“EIJI HAS ABS??!!” Of course he does sweetie. Don’t undermine his physique just because he hides it all beneath soft, pastel coloured cozy sweater and cardigans. Eiji was a nationally ranked athlete. There’s nothing surprising in that.
Never forget the scene where Eiji body-slammed Bones and Kong to the floor in Episode 13.
And then episode 20 where Eiji pushed Ash away and acted as a decoy for The Gang so they can escape from the tunnel.
don’t underestimate eiji
adding in this scene because you can clearly make out the shape of his muscles. eiji is strong, pole vaulting requires a lot of body strength. dont you dare underestimate him
hi, invading ur inbox again :) do you have any brachne headcanons or random fic ideas? i’m feeling the brachne drought atm
Hi, don't worry! It's been a while since I thought about Brandy and Arachne, and I actually missed them!
I don't have much to say about their relationship in canon, but I have some hcs about the 10th Hunger Games cancelled AU in my fic, where ✨Brandy lives✨ and they live together in D10 💅
I. Names
I included this in the fic. I like to think that Brandy initially categorically refused to call Arachne by her first name, calling her Crane instead (to emphasize the distance between them, their lack of familiarity) or princess (to tease her).
Only later she started calling her Arachne. Always and only Arachne.
Arachne, on the other hand, hadn't known Brandy's last name for a while, simply because she didn't care.
At first, in fact, she had no interest in getting close to Brandy: she was a District girl, her tribute, nothing more than her ticket for victory in the Hunger Games.
So why would she care about knowing anything about Brandy that wasn't relevant to her victory?
However, as the mentors' plan to sabotage the Games progressed, Arachne began to see Brandy no longer as a tribute, but as a person, and this began to make her more curious about Brandy.
So one day she decided to ask her last name, and Brandy, surprised by the question, replied that it was Allen.
A trivial detail, perhaps, but it was very important for both of them.
II. Nightmares
Both Brandy and Arachne often suffer from nightmares.
These nightmares are the aftermath of war: the bombings, the hunger, the constant fear of dying, of losing someone they love.
Arachne always wakes with a start, shaking and can't help but burst into tears at the memory of those visions.
Brandy manages to maintain her composure better, but the nightmares have an equally devastating effect: after waking, she lies still in bed, as if afraid to move a single muscle, staring at the ceiling. Once awake, she's unable to fall asleep, so she goes to the living room or the kitchen. She prepares breakfast in advance even if she's not hungry, tidies up what doesn't need tidying up, cleans what is already clean... Anything to do something and distract herself.
The two girls realize they have the same problem when they begin living together: Arachne tries to cry as quietly as possible, Brandy tries not to make a sound when she moves.
However, both notice.
They don't say it, though. They never say anything, partly because they don't want to face the issue and risk breaking down in front of the other, partly because they don't want the other to feel uncomfortable.
Only when they start sleeping in the same bed, they can no longer pretend nothing is happening, and so, when Arachne bursts into tears or Brandy suddenly wakes up, the other is always ready to welcome her into her arms, in a comforting hug. Without saying anything, there's no need for words.
III. Spiders
Arachne loves spiders. She's named after the woman who was transformed into the first spider, after all, and she truly doesn't understand what people find so scary in those tiny, tender and furry creatures.
Brandy, on the other hand, hates them. Actually, it would be more accurate to say she's terrified of them.
She truly can't stand spiders, they disgust her deeply, and she'll never understand Arachne's obsession with those creatures. This means that, whenever there's a spider in the house, Arachne is the one who has to shoo it away.
She softly picks it up (much to Brandy's horror, who screams at her to squash it) and carries it outside with a gentleness that Brandy truly can't understand and that seems so strange to her for someone like Arachne.
And of course, Arachne never misses an opportunity to tease Brandy about her fear for spiders which she finds so absurd :D
IV. Clothes
Arachne and Brandy's wardrobe is completely opposite: while Arachne mostly dresses in black, Brandy loves colorful clothes.
Jackets, shirts, trousers, boots, headscarves of any color...
Even though Brandy sometimes teases Arachne about her clothes, saying that all that black makes her depressed, she secretly loves her in black. It's one of the many things that make her unique.
And Arachne thinks the same about Brandy.
V. Marsyas
Arachne has two older brothers: Alexander and Marsyas.
Alexander, like Arachne's parents, didn't accept his sister leaving the Capitol to live in a District with her former tribute.
As a result, her relationship with them cooled and their interactions cut to the bone.
Marsyas, on the other hand, has always been more understanding and open toward the Districts than his parents and his brother were, and than Arachne was before she met Brandy and the other tributes.
So, despite his initial disorientation, he accepted his sister's decision, even visiting her in the house she shares with Brandy on one occasion.
It's was a somewhat awkward meeting, actually: Marsyas was quite taciturn, and the atmosphere was strange.
At one point, without warning, Marsyas turned to his sister and said: "So, she's your girlfriend."
It was not a question, but a statement. Arachne and Brandy exchanged a look, and Arachne calmly replies: "Yes." Because, simply, it was the truth.
Marsyas accepted it: he saw her sister happy with that girl, serene and spontaneous like she's never been before. And her girlfriend, Brandy seemed tough, someone capable of protecting his little sister and making her happy. Despite the creepy smile Brandy showed off when, walking him to the door, she whispered that if he told something about her and Arachne to the Crane family, she would have put what she'd learned on the job to good use.
Marsyas hadn't quite understood what that girl meant, and he didn't really want to understand.
Anyway, no, he wouldn't tell anyone in their family: the Cranes weren't ready, and Arachne would only suffer if he said something.
He knew it, and Brandy knew it too.
VI. Future
This one is pretty random, but I like to think that, once they're grown up, Arachne continues to live in District 10, deciding to open a small pub with Brandy and rent the apartment above, so they can live peacefully and have a stable job.
Brandy isn't entirely of the opnion at first: she's not sure she wants to leave the slaughterhouse, after all, she's been doing that job since she was a child.
But eventually, she's persuaded by Arachne and her enthusiasm, thinking that, maybe, she'd never loved working at the slaughterhouse so much. Maybe, because of the way she'd grown up, she'd always thought about that job as her only option.
And once it was, the only option for her.
But things in Panem and District 10 are changing, and perhaps she could afford some new opportunities.
Writing this makes me want to write a long fic about their life in District 10 or something about their period in the Capitol, but I have no time. Hopefully, someday 🥲
And if I said aroace bakudeku… what then?
Our first year ends today. It really did fly by. So will next year and the year after that. Maybe we'll go to different schools. Maybe we'll follow different paths. Maybe I won't see Hirose anymore. Maybe we'll end up in different classes. I don't know how long I'll get to be with Hirose. But I can't get rid of these feelings. I'll always be passionately in love. With him. With Hirose Aiki.
just saw someone say "a fandom is small, so like only 1-3 fics posted per day" . you wouldnt survive a day in the place where im from
