The Pony Goes On

Long time, no news -- but BronyTV continues bringing you pony (almost) every weekend.

January 2026 marked BTV's 14th anniversary, and we're still keeping the light of friendship going. Maybe a little quieter than during the main show, but still here.

Movie Time

It's finally time! Most of you will have already seen the G5 movie, of course, since we wanted to allow time for people to watch it through normal channels first. But for those who haven't seen it yet, or those who just want to watch it again with friends (or random internet ponies, at least), get ready.

BronyTV will be streaming the movie next weekend (Sat Nov 6) at the usual newpone time of 11:30am Eastern. (Check the countdown or the schedule page to see what that is in your local time.)

As always, the stream itself will start around 6pm Friday with some Random Pony and continue through the night, to keep you topped up on that pony fix (and if that isn't enough for you, we're still streaming every Friday night as well).

We'll be skipping the preshow mare-a-thon this time around, since we've seen it all before by now -- but you're still welcome to request episodes or PMVs throughout the night. Get in early to ensure there's time for your request.

Finally a finale

Well, this is it for now, folks. This weekend Discovery Family (and BronyTV) will be airing episodes 13 and 14 of Pony Life, which are the finale for season two. Random Pony, Mareathon, and Newpone at the usual times -- so remember to show up early to catch any episodes you might have missed.

Next week, we'll be back to the regular hiatus schedule of Random Pony from 6pm to midnight Friday EST, until more newpone arrives -- whatever's coming next.

Back for more Pony Life

Season 2 of Pony Life is just around the corner, with new episodes starting up on April 10. Check the schedule and countdown for when that's happening in your timezone.

As usual, we're doing the Random Pony stream and Mareathon prior to the newpone, so any time you're ready to join there'll be some pony to enjoy!

Merry Christmas

The stream will be taking a break for Christmas weekend -- but Pony Life is taking a break as well, so you’re not missing anything.

I know, fool me once, shame on you, etc.  But this time things are looking a bit firmer, and Pony Life is finally heading to Discovery Family in just two weeks from now.

And naturally, we’ll be streaming it.  While we know some pones have managed to see it already, this’ll be for those who haven’t had a chance yet or otherwise wanted to wait -- or for those who want to see it again!

As usual, things kick off 6pm Friday night with our traditional Random Pony stream, followed by a mare-a-thon, and finally the “new”pone at the time shown above -- or check out our countdown or schedule to see when that is in your own local timezone.

Or not Pony Life

As you’ve probably heard, Pony Life has been mysteriously de-scheduled from Discovery Family again, and we’re not yet sure when it will be back.

Until it returns to the schedule, we’re returning to our own regular hiatus schedule of Random Pony on Fridays 6pm til midnight EDT.

It’s a Pony Life

So, it is nearly time.  Pony Life starts on Discovery Family on June 13th -- and of course we’ll be streaming it live at BTV, with the usual Random Pony and mare-a-thon shows beforehand (starting 6pm EDT Friday!).

One thing to watch out for: Pony Life will be airing at 11am EDT, which is half an hour earlier than you may remember from Season 9, so don’t be late!  Though if you do miss it, then we’ll have our standard restream after a half hour intermission.

This is not the end

Season 9 might be over now, but this is not the end of Pony nor of BronyTV.

There’s still going to be a few more episodes of Nerds Talkin’ and No Hooves Barred (though both will probably wind down to a more relaxed schedule).

The hiatus-length Random Pony streams (6pm til midnight on Fridays) will also continue, at least as long as anypony keeps watching them.

And coming up in 2020 (though we’re not sure exactly when) are another movie and more potential EQG content -- and then eventually G5 will be a thing too.  And (provided that it doesn’t suck), the ride will continue.

There are no brakes on the pony train.

DST is a *****

Quick correction: I originally posted that the Decade of Pony special was at 6pm Eastern, but that was incorrect, it’s actually at 5pm Eastern.  So everything starts one hour earlier than it previously said.  (The schedule has been corrected now.  I tried to correct the news post but apparently Tumblr is also a *****.)

Apparently I didn’t take a DST changeover properly into account when converting timezones, so I messed it up.  My deepest apologies.

The good news is that if you miss it, it will still be restreamed after the first showing of the finale.  Which might be safer anyway -- while we hope they won’t, we can’t guarantee that there won’t be spoilers in it.  (Historically, they sometimes have had spoilers in these sorts of things.)

It’s the Final Countdown

Welp, the time is nearly upon us.  Saturday October 12 is when the season 9 finale will air -- and it’s also the series finale for MLP:FiM.  For G4.

But wait -- Discovery Family are changing things up on us, and the live TV schedule is quite different from how it normally looks.

We’re starting off the night on Friday at 5pm (one hour earlier than usual) for a little Random Pony intro -- but airing at 6pm is the half hour behind-the-scenes special “A Decade of Pony”.  Now, we hope that Hasbro wouldn’t put finale spoilers in this one, but we haven’t seen it and we can’t guarantee it, so you might want to skip it if you want to stay absolutely spoiler-free, just in case.

At 6:30pm on Friday the Random Pony continues through the night as usual, but instead of starting the Mare-a-thon around 9:40am it won’t be starting until around 11am -- and we’ll be showing all of season 9.  That’s because the finale itself isn’t airing in its normal 11:30am timeslot, but instead at 8pm.  Yes, you read that right.  8pm.

And the finale itself is a doozy -- it’s a triple episode, spanning an hour and a half.  So you’ll need to strap yourselves in for quite a ride.

After the finale, we’ll be airing restreams of the Decade of Pony special (in case you skipped the earlier showing) and of the finale itself.

All in all, assuming that I don’t go catatonic at some point, we’ll have 30 hours straight of pure pony.

Shortest Hiatus on Record

After only three weeks without any new pony, we’re back!  (Not that we ever left; Random Pony ran through the hiatus too.)

Join us on July 27th for Sunset’s Backstage Pass, another one hour Equestria Girls special.

And then again on August 3rd and beyond for the return of Season 9, continuing with episode 14.

As always, right before the new episodes will be our weekly Mare-a-thon of recent pony episodes, and starting 6pm EST on the Friday night beforehand and running all the way through the night is our Random Pony stream.  Join in any time or pony the whole night through if you can!

Season 9 inbound

Alrighty, my little bronies.  It’s just about that time again – newpone time.

Season 9 kicks off in a couple of weeks, on April 6th, but that’s not all!  In just one week’s time, on March 30th, will be the premiere of a new one hour Equestria Girls special.

And, naturally, we’ll be streaming both of these.  The newpone itself starts at 11:30am Eastern, but the fun doesn’t just start then.  As usual, we’ll have a mare-a-thon screening of past episodes starting somewhere between 9:30am and 10:00am (depending on episode length), and our classic Random Pony stream stretches all the way back to 6:00pm on Friday night.  Join in any time to fill up your pony tank.

And hey, if that’s not enough for you, our hiatus streams continue as well, with a shorter Random Pony segment running from 6pm this Friday (March 22) until midnight.
