She lets out a chuckle at the other girl’s words. “Yes I have indeed caught you. Looks like we both have had enough of everyone inside.”
Or well, she’s more so had enough of the words of those that don’t understand her situation. Like anyone would ever understand her situation.
Well, maybe that was a lie; perhaps her companion here could understand her a bit, considering they were both avoiding the party that continued on.
Grasping the outstretched hand she returned the handshake with the smile on her face. “Pleasure to meet you Marie.”
Why did that name ring a bell...
Brushing it aside for now doe-like orbs stared at the female in a curious manner. “Reason you left?” Maya could catch the second meaning behind her words. Shaking her head the female closed her eyes. “My apologies, that is non of my business to know.”
Moving some of her hair behind her ears Maya directed the conversation to something else. “People in Kalos - especially with people like them.” As she was indicating towards the rich snobs that were currently talking about who knows what inside the building.
Letting out a sigh the pinkette looked up at the sky for a brief second before turning her attention to Marie. “It is difficult to be around them for long periods of time, even five seconds is hard.” She let out a light laugh. She felt herself at ease with Marie, better then feeling suffocated within the confined building talking and going with a fake smile that she perfected.
Being outside in the fresh air, the smell of the roses and being in the presence of someone that understood the feeling of not being somewhere they didn’t want to be at. “I do hope I am not boring you Marie.” She gave the ravenette a warm smile.
Their arrival was greeted with the family being flocked to, mostly her brothers so she quietly sneaked away to somewhere else into the room. She didn’t get far though before someone had come up to her and started chatting to her. She plastered on that fake smile and conversed with them.
This was going to be a long night.
@curiaces
“And here I thought I was the only one out here,”
Oh, she was caught - red handed at that too. Crap.
Hopefully whoever the voice belonged too wasn’t part of Glen’s group. Goodness that would be bad for the female.
Sitting from her spot on the branch her attention was then brought to another female. She looked to be about her age? Maybe a little younger, she couldn’t tell and age really didn’t matter to Maya.
Giving a sheepish smile the female let out a light laugh. “You have caught me.” Careful and precise movements she climbed from the tree with ease, even in her huge dress and heels…
Once on the ground she straightened out and made her way towards the other girl. “Indeed I have, it was getting quite… stuffy in there.” She placed a slender finger under her chin as she was thinking of words that would fit how she felt. “It was like we were all packed into a tin like a bunch of Remoraids.” She let out a laugh again as she covered her mouth with her hand.
“Oh, goodness where are my manners.” Giving a bow to the female she straighten up with a warm smile on her face. “My name is Maya Gainsbourgh.” As she took a closer look at the female she looked familiar, maybe? She would have never forgotten someone like her. Something about her seemed familiar, but she couldn’t place her finger on it. “I’m sure you had your fair share of dealing with everyone inside, yes?”
How she couldn’t have been more wrong about that for the other female.
The wandering musician could only stare in confusion at the girl in his arms, wondering how exactly this all happened. He was just roaming…following the music. Maybe it was some form of sign of inspiration. It wasn’t every day that a girl dropped down from a tree and practically into his lap. But now that he was just standing there…holding this girl.
@rollingxrocker
This guy... something about him made Maya curious? Relaxed? Content? Possibly all three, she wasn’t sure. Who would be alive to see a day where a female would just practically fall out of a tree pretty much into their lap. Whoever this guy was, he has just witnessed it.
Hearing his response, the female let out an airy laugh as she covered her mouth with her hand. “Well, shouldn’t that make you my knight in shining armor for saving me?” Tilting her head to the side at him her mind started to slow from the adrenaline rush as she hoped he wouldn’t recognize her. If he did would she have to run away? Would he return her back to the castle? The questions kept swirling in her mind, but ignoring them all she’d have to do is wait and see.
Feeling him shifting and setting her feet on the ground she completely forgot that he was still holding her. The way he placed her was careful, delicate, it made her smile a bit. They were both strangers, and yet he treated her with care.
Smiling at his answer she felt relief knowing she hadn’t hurt him. “Thank goodness, I’m glad.” A hand on her chest to show her expression she was about to bow, but remembered anything could probably give her away of her status. So, instead she nodded her head. “Pleasure to meet you Jayden. I’m - “she paused for a moment, should she use her real name? No, that would be bad. Quickly thinking she continued on without missing a beat. “Alice.” Hopefully that would due just fine.
Ears perking a bit at his words she stared at him in a bit of awe. “Music? Do you play for the people in towns?” It was very strange for her to meet someone who just wanders, but then again she was envious. Jayden seemed to be carefree and happy. Clasping her hands together in front of her she was excited. “Would you be able to play something for me?”
It had always been a calling of his to play music to those who wanted to listen. Jayden had always been a sort of free man to do what he wanted without many obligations to hold him back. He traveled the small villages and country sides, letting notes and rhythms play to those who wanted to listen. His life had always been a simple one, just following the winds of inspiration wherever it happened to take him.
The castle by now was most likely in a panic - or an uproar.
Their beloved princess had gone missing and who knows what has happened to her. Unknown to them though, she had simply let herself out. She was getting tired of being in the castle, only looking at the world from her balcony. The only time she could even go to the village was if she disguised herself so no one would notice her.
So, here she was now out of the castle in a disguise and the freedom for her was here. The smile never left her lips once she left the castle walls and onto the road. Maya was determined to enjoy the time she had before who knows how long it would be before she was found.
Pulling her cloak over her head to hide her hair she continued on the dirt path. The world was so beautiful as she took in everything in, soaking all that she laid her eyes on. The air was so fresh, the birds sounded ten times louder, and everything was brighter to her.
Passing by some travelers she waved and gave her greetings as they returned them. Soon though she began to tire, she had walked quiet a distance and decided it was time to take a break. Finding a large tree she smiled brightly at it.
Her new perch in the tree her new view was one to behold. “Wow...” It was breathtaking to her.
After a few moments had past she thought her ears picked up someone. Shifting from her spot she peered through the branches, but because it was such an old tree the branches were thick so her view was blocked. Slowly stepping down to make her way towards the ground, she felt her foot slip beneath her.
Panic, slowly rushed through her veins. As she got closer to the ground she noticed the person as male. A confused look over his face she he looked around she shouted. “W-watch out!” Without any thinking it looked like to her from the male, he caught her. Surprise and shock written on her face as it mimicked his she felt her cheeks redden a bit from the entrance.
The hood on her cloak had removed itself from hiding her hair as now her pink hair surrounded herself like a waterfall. “I am quite alright, m-my apologies sir! I didn’t mean to startle you.” The panic was still inside her, but she felt more adrenaline than anything.
Orbs widening in shock she quickly spoke. “Are you unharmed?!” She would have felt terrible if she caused this stranger any wounds from her reckless behavior.
We would like to hold the annual party on the 14th of April…
Marie had nearly ripped the letter that her mother had sent to her. Yes, she knew she had to attend since it was formalities and the like, but she didn’t want to go back to Kalos. Not now.
Not while knowing that she wasn’t going to get the attention she deserved.
@curiaces
Upon their arrival the pinkette was already flocked to by many. Smiling and giving her greetings she was left on her own to talk with those that were around her. Majority of them were potential candidates that her mother wanted her to befriend in a better term or worse while the others were just those that had worked with her father or were other companies that joined them in his business.
The hours ticked away as Maya was swept off her feet to dance or still interacting with people. The female was beginning to feel exhaustion hit her, but with the Sparrow-like looks her mother gave her, she had no real other choice but to continue through it with at this point, fake smiles.
Maya was finally able to get a break - at least from being surrounded by people, but she couldn’t shake loose a certain person. “Maya, my beauty.” Letting out a quiet sigh she turned to face the person giving a fake smile. “Glen, good evening.” Glen Sinclair, the most potential candidate that her mother approved of. He came from wealth, her father and his did many business partnerships together, and he was what every female wanted. Well, would wanted if Maya was into that.
She simply listened as Glen started to talk, and at this point wasn’t going to end. Slowly inching away from him as he was so wrapped up in his own world she finally made it outside. Rubbing her temples the girl had wandered into the maze behind the building the party was held at. As she looked around herself she got lost within the beauty and sat on a stone bench breathing in the fresh air.
Away from the prying people, interactions, and everything.
The heiress could handle parties, but there were so many of them that she had to attend to as of late she was just - spent. She couldn’t have her own time to herself anymore, she couldn’t explore outside the household without her mother there.
As she was lost in her reverie her ears perked up hearing someone walking her way. Worried that it was Glen the female quickly made her way up towards the large tree that was nearby.
This reckless behavior of her’s would end up making her meet something she shouldn’t...
We would like to hold the annual party on the 14th of April...
That was the farthest Maya could read to, she knew full well what this party usually meant for her parents - finding the potential candidate for their daughter.
Twirling a piece of her bubblegum hair around her finger she let out a sigh uncrossing her legs then crossing them again as she stared outside her window. Her parents only cared to marry sell their daughter away so they could gain more riches and publicity. The women on the other hand just wanted to live her life freely, as well possibly take over the family company?
If she were to get married though, she wouldn’t have any control if she were to get it or not.
Slowly rising from her spot she walked to her window as she began running through her head on the people she knew who would be there. Today was the day for the party and she had less then five hours to get ready.
“Look prim and proper. Best dress for this, you are looking for candidates.”
She could hear and remember her mother words ringing in her ears as if she was there in person. Maya could recall all the times since this annual party was that she repeated the same words to her. The correct part would be more of you are looking for the candidates, not me, mother.
Sighing the knock on the door brought her out of her small reverie. “Enter.” The door cracked open enough for the maid to walk through and bow. “M’lady, you are to be ready in a short while. Your mother has told me to come and relay the news to you.”
The maid had taken her leave as Maya gave her a smile and thanked her. Donned in a floor length white and pink dress she finished with putting her rose choker on. Fixing her buns she looked at her reflection in the mirror. She was dressed to the T without missing dotting the I’s.
Before she was fully lost in her thoughts she heard her mother’s voice calling for her. One last look in the mirror she put on her smile and descended to the awaiting limo. She felt the dread of facing all the candidates that her parents would seek out, but Maya had a feeling it would turn into an interesting night.
Readjusting her sunglasses the sun was once again blocked - protecting her eyes as she looked around. Fixing the hat so it wouldn’t cover her sight very much she looked up at the sky. She wanted to keep her identity hidden and not cause too much of a stir with her being out.
The weather was starting to turn with the seasons as winter was changing. Tapping her white ankle boots against the ground she continued walking taking in view around her. With nothing in the agenda for a bit Maya decided to take a stroll through the roads. Why bother staying indoors with splendid weather like today.
Fixing the collar on her jacket she fixed the bottom of her dress as she rested her left arm on her right as she tapped her cheek thinking. Lately, the pinkette began thinking on finding a companion for her Swirlix. She’s had the cotton candy Pokemon for so long and Maya has never had any time to think of another Pokemon.
She isn’t one to battle and she didn’t want to hurt more Pokemon then need be, but people always say that two Pokemon are better then one for companionship. Her thoughts were disrupted as she spotted the Pokemon Daycare. Orbs slowly blinking she completely forgot the little place was on this road.
Making her way towards the wooded fence she leaned against it with a smile forming on her face as she watched the babies and older Pokemon through the pen. Now that she was staring at the baby Pokemon it was possible to hatch an egg. And she was leaning towards wanting a Meowstic. Maya definitely was not one who was good with catching Pokemon on her own, also kinda another reason why she only has her Swirlix.
Feeling she was blocking someone’s way she turned her head behind her to indeed find someone there. “Oh! My apologies, I didn’t mean to block your way.” The female bowed in apology as she moved to the side for the other person to come forward.
