I can finally post this! I did it for a local Steven Universe Zine ~ ♥ Three wonderful Pearls!

“Oh.. gosh..” Black Star gulped, shivering at the image of what Bonnie described to her.  The shorter gem didn’t think those gems in the stores were gems like themselves, but man-made possibly?  That’s what some told her anyway.

“It’s okay to be scared, you don’t need to apologize” Black Star offered, smiling sweetly at the Pearl.  She gave her shoulder a gentle squeeze then let go.  “Say, I can’t believe I didn’t introduce myself.  My name’s Black Star Diopside, what’s yours, friend?”

She sniffled with a smile, wiping her eyes with the cloth that hid her gem. Bonnie looked more relaxed now, though the thoughts of her kind being harvested as decoration still lingered in the back of her mind. 

 “I-... I’m Pink Pearl. It’s nice to meet you!” The Pearl stood up, and curtsied with a friendly smile.

@playfuljester She peeked out quietly from the long corridor. Bonnie didn’t get out much since she was brought back from White Diamond’s control, and honestly … she was still afraid. But the sound of someone playing caught her attention. She hadn’t heard such a delightful sound since her time with Pink Diamond. “… Hello?”

Spinel was just laughing really, thinking of new jokes to tell the Diamonds, maybe some new acts or acrobatics to do. Yellow did love her jokes, and Blue seemed particularly interested in how she could jump around and stretch out as much as she does. Scratching her head now she kept moving around, though her legs eventually became twisted up the more she stepped over herself and paced around. Letting out a “AH HA!!” as she unwound her tangled limbs and jumped into the air, she had finally got it!! Though there was one sound that took her off guard that made her jump, this time in shock. Turning her head, she twisted it around and stretched it out to look at the place the noise came from. “Hello!!”

Her eyes brightened. The laughter was contagious, and she covered her mouth to stifle the giggle. Looking from one side to the other, she saw no other signs of the Diamonds, and decided to finally emerge from her hiding place to meet the new gem. With both hands folded in front of her, she bowed her head. She remembered that she had to be polite, as expected of a Pearl.  “Hello, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

New word to learn? New word to learn! She’s only heard this word once! The pronunciation might be wrong though ...  STILL ...

@bxxksxndswxrds She squeaked with delight as a beautiful pink silk moth landed on her arm. “What is this adorable thing?” And carefully, the Pearl reached out to pet its wings.  “Its --- so soft!”
