An open letter to the Lifers:

There is a loud minority complaining about how the Lifers team up with the same people repeatedly, through chance or choice. I am part of a much quieter majority that I didn't realize, until recently, that it needed to be said aloud: we will watch your videos regardless of who you team with, because we like watching YOU interact with your friends. The twists to each season in the Life series ensures that the relationships you form for the season, whether its part of the circumstances or a bit you decided to lean into, are different enough that it can't possibly be a beat-for-beat repeat of any previous season.

I am sorry that the fanbase isn't as whole heartedly enthusiastic as it has been in the past, but the people who say that teaming with the same people over again is boring need to get their eyes checked. Martyn and Ren don't know what the word boring means, Grian and Scar are carbonated chaos, and Bdubs and Tango are as predictable as an irregularly shaped bouncy ball thrown by a child with very little coordination. All of them have multiple series teamed with each other, and every time the relationship has been a little to the left, or reversed, or otherwise different.

The short of it is this: we will be here regardless of who you team with. The people who watch casually, the people who are So Normal about the Traffic series, the people who love lore, the fanartists and fanficcers and meta writers and editors? We will be here, and we'll love you teaming with the same person under a different circumstance or persona, and we'll love you teaming with a different person too.
