His gaze keeps darting to the untouched yogurt on the table, keeping track of how long it lasts in his head. “yeah, the time keeps running from us, huh?” He looks at his reflection in the spoon and couldn’t help the small smile that graced his features. His eyes then go back to the man across from him.

He scrunches up his face in concentration, thinking of the guy Al spoke of. “ Aw shoot, yea I think I’ve heard of him. But I don’t think I’ve ever gotten around to watching his videos”, he taps the spoon on the table lightly, “ I guess I’ll make sure to watch him sometime then”.

He laughs lightly, not able to restrain it well enough. “Mississippi sure is something...” He took another bite of the yogurt as he listened and blinked slowly. “ I’ve been pretty well surprisingly, not much has been going on...” He looked at his spoon and ate another scoop of yogurt and sighs. “It’s usually like this though for most of the time, until election year comes around.” He looks up at the man in front of him and he gives him a half-hearted smile. “It’ll get better, Al. You gotta give it time.”

“Hey, everything alright? I brought you some frozen yogurt with blueberries and stuff. If you don’t like blueberries, I’ll get rid of ‘em for you.” Alfred cautiously placed a cup of frozen yogurt in front of the state as if moving too fast would cost him his life. “There we go. Here’s your spoon.”

He looks at the yogurt for a minute then takes it in his hand and smiles lazily. “You know...I'm not going to bite your head off.” He takes the spoon and takes a scoop of the frozen treat and eats it delicately. “and don't worry, Al, I love blueberries.” A couple more small spoonfuls are eaten, then he points the spoon at the man in front of him. “Thanks for this...how have you been, Al. Haven't seen you in forever.”
