dadbf!robby who’s retired and spends his time lounging on the couch, a book in one hand. you trudge in from work in the evening, sniffling from tiredness and he glances over at you, his smile instantly making you feel warm. you drop your bag at the door, sitting down on the couch and snuggling into his side.

“you okay, honey?”

“jus’ tired.. missed you daddy..”

“missed you too, sweetheart.. c’mere..”

he kisses the top of your head, an arm wrapping around your side and squeezing your hip.

“want me to read some of my book to you?”

“please, daddy.. if that’s ok?”

“of course it is, sweetheart.. jus’ get comfy, okay?”

you nod, snuggling down more into his side, closing your eyes and robby smiles, kissing the top of your head again. he cleared his throat, before starting to read the current chapter of his book. soon enough, you started softly snoring and robby slowly trailed off, letting you sleep soundly by his side while he continues to read.
