Picnrid #12. This is another item I struggled with. An old Crossfit shirt that I totally loved. I got it cheap ($20?) And wore it often for 4 years. It fit really well and was simple and cool. But overuse caught up and discoloration and staining accelerated the inevitable departure. Good bye sweet shirt. You can rest knowing you served valiantly.

Picnrid #11. A calculator/ruler, from law school. Honestly, I think I kept this for so long because I knew it would make me chuckle at some point in the future. Good job old-me, mission accomplished.

Picnrid #10. A photo mobile. I have used this, and it was cool. But, its time has passed.

Picnrid #9. A collection of old concert and movie ticket stubs. Main takeaway here: I have good taste in music. Related: I miss going to good concerts.

Picnrid #8. Sweet green, blue, tan shoes. These were a mis-order from a friend, and he kept them (he is a heavy online shopper). I grabbed em. I wore them reasonably often. But now it is time for them to move on. There is lots of life left in them, I hope someone enjoys them.

Picnrid #7. 0 drop shoes. I do this thing where, after shoes are dead- I keep shoes too long thinking I will wear them for some specific situation and then I never do. This seems like textbook pack rat behavior. No more.

Picnrid #6. This was one of the things that I was a little conflicted about. I love pool. But this 8 ball isn't special. It was a found thing and an item that i put meaning into after the fact- I already loved pool and somehow this 8 ball proves how much I love pool. When i write it out, it sounds so silly. I have great pool stories, cues that I won, and I worked in a pool and darts bar. This 8 ball is just a thing with little meaning beyond itself. Besides: one day i will have a house and I can have a snooker table or pool table... and I will have a whole set!

Picnrid #5. A pot holder from Guatemala. This is a nice gift. But I have other things from Guatemala that bring me more joy than this. And I think that potholders (and these things that pots just sit on) are a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Maybe someone else will enjoy it.

Picnrid #4. Race medal for a race i had to miss because of work. There will be another time where I will get rid of my other medals... I LOVE race shirts, but the medals seem silly. For now, this one has to go... it wasnt even earned!

Picnrid #3. An old dog collar. In my head i was going to use this as a handle to carry stuff, a tie-down or something like that. I never did. Ya gone.

Picnrid, #2. Weird metal base for a lamp. I dont have the lamp anymore. I think (I THINK) I was going to repurpose this and use it for something else. But im ashamed to admit how long I kept this heavy piece of metal around and never actually did anything with. Girl, bye.

The first picture in my picnrid project. The project is simple: I take a picture of a thing I am going to get rid of, then i get rid of it.

#1) a work shirt from Uniqlo. The color was always a bit strange. A pale brown, weird earth tone. I think i got it because it was cheap, and not white. This is part of what I call my “conservative camoflauge”. It helps me “blend in”. The elbows were all dirty from all the leanin forward and thinkin I did. It served me well.
