Does anyone else find it really weird that what makes Angel happiest is having sex with Buffy? Not being around her, or seeing her happy, or keeping her safe— what makes Angel happiest is having sex with her. Makes you think of that moment in season 7 where Spike holds Buffy through the night after she got kicked out of her house, and how he said it was the BEST night of his life. hot take but if you completely hate spuffy or think it's out of character for buffy to love him you don't fully get her character. I'm not saying you have to ship it but spuffy as a narrative opens the door for one of buffy's most interesting seasons as a character. You're not gonna get how she felt after being resurrected if you see her confiding in spike and you think it's ooc. It's the one season where she gets freedom for a little while, when she opens up about her emotions (s7 too) about as a person not just as a slayer.

And the dmp episodes help on that showing you she can't be just a regular human girl, having a regular job doesn't work for her because being a slayer is not just an extracurricular activity it's who she is
