So I just have to share something about me? Seems easy enough. I'm Lily, AKA bug catcher Lily. I like bugs a whole lot, they're just very silly! Like, can you just look at a caterpie without having the intrusive thoughts about squishing it's cheeks??? I mean, even though I'm pretty sure they don't have them, I sure do! So irresistible. Anyways, I'm getting off track, sorry. I dream of becoming one of elite four, a bug type one to be exact. If you're wondering, I even have some pokémon!!!!

I have a Scizor named Claws, Larvesta the Sun, Cracker the Wimpod, and lil Whirlipede called Wonder!!! Those are all my bug type pokémon so far, but I love all of them.

I think I forgot to mention where I live... Oh well. I was born and still live in Unova, Castelia City to be exact, but I've been to some other regions for vacation.

I created this blog to talk about daily life of my silly buggies, and not only buggies. I hope you like them!!

Is it safe to incubate a random egg? For back story I found it while throwing out the trash, it wasn’t wild or anything. It’s currently under a warm lamp and has been washed off. I hope whatever Little guy is in there is okay.

since it's not always possible to tell the species of an egg from the outside, if i were you i'd hand it off to a professional breeder who can be prepared if it's something Actually Dangerous like a carvanha or a bagon. that being said i can't stop you from Hatching It Anyway

About the hive shelter

The Hive shelter is home to many bug type Pokemon here in sinnoh that are waiting for adoption and care, though not many are usually to keen on owning one sadly, nonetheless it's our own job to make sure they're are properly taken care of and find some willing to give them a home to live in!

There will be a list that will be added once the first set of adoptions are posted here!

The current available adopts:

Buzzard and Duke (yanmegas, 2 for 1 deal, must adopt both if planned to have either)

Hazelnut the scyther (galarian breed, and is a young one) (adopted!)

Vessa the Vespiquen (sinnohian breed, prefers not to battle and loves to help with yard work)

lemonade the galvantula (standard breed, suitable companion pokemon)

Why do Pokémon say their names when they speak?

They don't. That's only a thing in that way too popular cartoon.

Ooc: in this blogs canon, the pokemon cries sound like animal sounds or the cries they have in pokemon snap. I hate the idea of them saying their names, especially when some of their names are too complicated and have origins. How would every wild pokemon break the 4th wall and know the origin of their name and repeat it?

Silly storytime on how I met my Pokémon!!!

Wonder: My parents caught her for me as a starter because I was really keen on also going on a journey when I was 10. But, really, what I'm realising just now is that I just wanted a pokémon of my own because everyone at school also had one. Proud to say that she made me the coolest kid at school.

Sun: Baby who left you??? Someone just released her straight up in the middle of Castelia :(

Claws: Auntie ( who works at a pokémon shelter ) decided to gift him to me knowing that I'm a big big bug geek and would be really happy about him. She really went trough filling a lot of adoption papers just to make me happy.

Katana: I already told that story but it was blown out of some hole in the sky. Almost got blown around by the wind but I shielded it from it. It decided that it likes me and didn't want to go back into the hole. Mom had to fill some papers to take it home with us though... Anyways, constantly calling it Kartana became a hassle, so I just started shortening it to Katana. It didn't mind.

Also very cool news, Wonder is a Scolipede now!!! Still my little baby!!! Even if she almost doesn't fit trough doorframes now!!!

Why is there a debate between "Rotom phones" and "Poryphones"...? I just use a non-Pokémon themed phone... It's a bit on the outdated side, but much cheaper... And it connects and matches with my Xtransceiver~! :>

So Wonder is feeling very fierce after all these days of sleeping around and barely moving (which is, really unusual for a Whirlipede). And I need money because Cracker is a water type and he needs a proper tank with water because my bathtub won't do, not in a long run. (This is Castelia, not Undella town, even though we have water it's dangerous to let my #newborn swim there, too deep and probably has some Sharpedos/Carvanhas and Basculin swimming around, plus Pelippers and Wingulls flying around preying on small fish and bugs.)

So we'll be battling some random 10 year olds for pocket money. I'll start with my classmates. [malicious laugh]

Wimpod Care Tips

Okay, what you need to know about Wimpod is that they are VERY skittish and will run at the first sight of danger. If you want to battle with Wimpod, you need to make sure it trusts you completely to make sure nothing bad happens to it.

Other than that, Wimpod are opportunistic scavengers and can and will steal your food, even if you keep them well fed. But I like to call what they have "the snow treatment." It's when a small bug type needs to eat a lot of food than one would think of them. So, giving them large portions for the meals is basically a requirement.

Other than that, Wimpod need a place with water (no, bathtubs don't count). Depending on the variant, you will need either a freshwater or a saltwater tank. If possible, you could also make a small pond area for them in a yard.

While wimpod can usually keep themselves clean, you should still bathe them from time-time-. Make sure you get soap made specifically for them since their skin can be damaged by the soap that we use.

Wimpod live in groups in the wild because of the whole safety in numbers thing. Getting them a friend is a good idea as well.
