Actually. No.

If I'm going to completely honest, it's scary to think about, because I don't know how he got there and I don't know how he's going to get back, if he gets back AT ALL.

And I miss him.

What sort of strange fate or cruel legend decided to meddle with our lives is of little consequence. What matters is that we're going to make it home. Or did you forget you're talking about Galar's strongest and most capable trainer? I may be without my typical pokemon, but I can assure you that I am training a team capable of facing whatever might stand in our way of returning to Galar. I'm not going to let something like this stand between me and my duties as gym leader, or my standing in the region, or you.

Pelipper mail! Two boxes arrive. One contains a love ball nestled in pink tissue paper. Were Wyverlyn to send out the pokemon inside, she would see an average-sized shiny Applin. It has a pink bow tied around its bright green apple and a certain thoughtful/dreamy demeanor. In the second box, sealed in plastic wrapping, is a Kitakamian syrupy apple.

The boxes also came with a note, scrawled on pink stationary paper.

"Ms. Wyverlyn

We've discussed it before, and it is my opinion that this pokemon is going to the most capable hands in Galar to raise it. Happy birthday.

Seated in the middle of her bedroom, Wyverlyn's eyes snap between the elaborate interconnected gift pieces, her breath barely leaving her lungs as her fingertips gingerly brush the surface of the love ball as if it were thin glass that would shatter if she dared press any harder than a light wisp of her fingertips.

Through bleary eyes Wyverlyn’s thumb presses into the button, the ball opens, a warm pink glow releasing the tiny green apple pokemon into her lap, swaying carelessly in the crook of her crossed legs, eyes squeezed shut in contentment.

“Oh Bee…”

Wyverlyn sniffles, tears slicking her speckled cheeks.

“You've really outdone yourself this time.”

How do you take care of all your big pokemon in a place like Hulbury? Do you have to take them to the Wild Area a lot to get some space/open air?

Yeah, I usually take them into whatever nearby field I feel like going to that day and plop myself down for a picnic or cloud-watching that turns into my-pokemon-hunched-over-me-and-staring-at-me-watching.

But those are the relaxed days, on training days I meet up with a friend and we battle and discuss strategy. I'm gonna be completely transparent here and say that Bede's my favorite battle buddy, he's always got a wide open space available and nothing's more thrilling than being at a disadvantage and still pulling through. Plus!!! He gives me lots of good tips, my battling has gotten a lot better thanks to him, he doesn't seem very keen on taking my advice, but hey, I'm not gonna hound the professional. ¯\_(ᵕ—ᴗ—)_/¯
