  Angela couldn´t help but laugh, Hodgins looked positively distraught, and that wasn´t an easy thing to achieve.

                     ”I sing first thing in the morning,”

she then told him, the bright grin still on her face.

                          “What if I do it now?                                    Are you going to try and kill me too?”

   "Your singing is like a chorus       of a thousand angels! This guy          is singing some kid-pop song on             repeat in a wildly tone-deaf manner."

Somewhere, a door opens, and the sound of singing drifts through the lab. Hodgins winces.

    "I mean, come on!"

  She looked up at him, trying her best to not look like tears were about to spill from her  eyes- though they were. This all just felt so helpless and even he couldn’t do anything. Maybe she was just meant to live forever.

Stick around? Well, it’s not like she had anything better to do. Rebecca for the most part had nothing on her plate except to solve this whole thing. Perhaps spending a little more time here wouldn’t hurt. After all, she did have all the time in the world. 

                 ”Why do you want to help me so badly?”

  "You're kidding, right?"

He lets out a half-laugh, sticks his hands in the pockets of his lab coat and tips his head back towards the lab they're in.

"What do you think I spend my life doing? I mean, when I'm not, you know, looking at dirt super intensely."

He shrugs a shoulder. Sure, there's nothing he loves more than the chance to explore a government conspiracy, but usually his con- spiracy theories don't have an actual face, or feelings.

"I just -- I wanna help. If I can. Death is kind of our thing here, you know? Arguably usually in a slightly less morbid manner, but..."
