Call me Bug Hunter! / 20/🏳️‍⚧️ / Hello! This is a side blog I’m going to use to organize and share some of my bug art. I have a silly little bug world building project that I’ll be working on. Entomology is one of my biggest passions so there’ll be lots of bug drawings :p

Some bug world building notes!

When building a world where bugs get human sized I came up with some ideas to make it make sense I guess?

Additional time in the egg- with umbilical cord to feed the larva. The egg and yolk expand with time to give space and extra nutrients to aid with rapid growth. Spend up to 1/4 of their lives in the egg (the equivalent of human middle school)

Umbilical cord placement: either on top or the bottom of the egg. Moving the egg after the umbilical cord reaches a certain growth point can lead to the death of the larva. So it’s important not to move the egg around.

Certain religious sects believe that larva with an umbilical cord attaching to the bottom of the egg is a bad omen and will cull the young.

The next character I’m designing for my bug world adopts! She will be a wasp who is infected with an incurable fungus. I think I’m going to design her to represent some of my chronic health issues :’) she’s got a crash bag and everything. Shout out to my fellow chronic health issues havers out there

Let me know if anyone has name suggestions, I’m really attached to her but I’m not sure on a name for her yet

The funny part about having bug autism is that this is literally both me when I was a kid and now that I’m an adult that pays taxes

The left character is going to be a gardener and the right character is going to be a teacher :3

Omg worm blog!!! :D so cuteee

I have a bit of a phobia of worms, and I’ve been working on trying to improve it by finding ones I like and learning more about them! So this is amazing <3

I actually started learning all I can about bristle worms for that reason. me and my partner have started making it a part of our weekly routine during our hang out times :3

Working on designing a fursona, here’s my first draft!! ^^ it’s a binturong and bristle worm mixed creature. Not sure if I really connect with them yet, so if I don’t end up loving them I might make them into an adopt? Because they are so cute! But i dunno wither it’s like me, ya know? Fursonas are hard

HEAR YE, HEAR YE!

I am on a mission. I would like to find bugs. All bugs. Interesting bugs. Intriguing bugs. Maybe even FASCINATING bugs. Any kind. Anything that would fit under the common term of bug, even if it is something slightly different.

Do not question WHY I want the bugs. Please include a picture of said bug. If this has found you by being posted to a community, message me. Send an ask. I want bugs. Once I have gained a good stockpile of bugs, I just might tell you why I want the bugs.
