‘ NO IT DOESN’T . IT BELONGS TO ME . ’ the doctor said , his voice still full of smug emphasis lingering still within his voice as she had attempted to prove that she was clever && how she could fly his TARDIS without learning what anything did . so obviously she crashed it . sort of . it wasn’t exactly crashed but it wasn’t exactly in orbit EITHER . so yes , to say that he was smug would be an understatement . he put his hand to his hip , leaning against the console as she tried to tug at the console . rolling his eyes , he flicked a few of the switches before letting the TARDIS light up once more .

“ darling, don’t be ridiculous. i INVENTED smug. it’s mine. not yours. DO try to keep your grubby little baby hands off of it, thanks. ” after watching the birth of practically the entire universe, she’d have thought that nothing could surprise her by now — that nothing could phase her. she was WRONG. that much was obvious enough after her rather disastrous test flight of the TARDIS. billions of years old &. bested by a time machine. oh, if dad, could see her now...

well, at least it wasn’t as bad as it could have been, otherwise the doctor would have been all shouty &. SCOTTISH. instead he was all...smug. it really wasn’t a good look for him. whoever had told him otherwise had been lying. “ besides, i doubt YOU got it right on your first test drive either. ”
