The Music of Oprhan Black

I love the Orphan Black soundtrack, not because I like to listen to it by itself, but because it matches and enhances the show so much. The score is unique and always very interesting, and it compliments the scenes and moods of the show in ways that few scores, especially in tv do. It’s also another device the show uses to differentiate between clones. We all know the screeching sound used for Helena, and then there’s the slightly off key keyboard synth that is used a lot for Alison and the suburbs. It’s just awesome that they pay such close attention to so many aspects of the show.

Even the theme song (Which I have as my ringtone just cause I love it) fits the shows mood very well. It’s intense, but not intense in the way that it’s lots of loud sound and action, rather intense in the way that builds suspicion, and creates an atmosphere of tension even before anything has yet gone wrong. There were times where I wouldn’t really get that giddy burst of excited energy until right when I heard the theme, and after listening I always felt on edge and ready for anything for the whole episode
