Thinking about how Lal just knew Wine was lying about what happened with Korn. So often in tv shows they will just let a character get away with a blatant and obvious lie, but Lal called her out (which led to one of the best scenes in the series).
And I think if Lal was seeing thing clearly after Wine broke up with her that she would realize the same thing. Just days (day?) earlier Wine told her that she couldn’t live without Lal, I think the brokenness of her heart will distract her but eventually she will know that Wine was not being honest in that moment either.
So often the breakup episodes feel unearned to me, but this one actually hit. Right as Wine was feeling settled and happy, her abuser came back and is not only threatening her but the woman she loves as well. Of course she would do something drastic in this scenario. And I actually love the additional drama that wasn’t in the book.
