Beef and Philbin by popular demand
quick phantom sketches
Then I came back to Christine. She was waiting for me..."Erik here rose solemnly. Then he continued, but, as he spoke, he was overcome by all his former emotion and began to tremble like a leaf: "Yes, she was waiting for me... waiting for me erect and alive, a real, living bride... as she hoped to be saved..."
"Death was the ultimate power and I his eager, willing apprentice."

You alone can make my song take flight
It's over now, the music of the night...
Made these sketches through pain because i've injured my hand at work but i wanted to draw my beautiful wife (old ugly fictional french man) so bad... so nvm
It's a wonderful experience of the live show ( love
I think I channeled a bit too much Richard Marx into this sketch
so this may or may not be the full automata dance room track from the masquerade vinyl that i may or may not have bought last night and digitized
"One word, one voice. So clear. Now it's all that I want to hear. Come show your face. My invisible angel" Sunday Driver -Mechanical Angel
We know that Erik is really good at making realistic automatons which brings me to my point: what if to convince Christine that Angel of Music is real real he built an automaton of an angel, even though the said automaton was more of a "special effect" (idk probably showing it in a form of shadow/illusion or something like that to still keep the idea of mystery and that this is an otherwordly entity etc) + he can easily use his ventriloquist skills with this doll; yet still giving this mechanical doll HIS face to 1)draw the line that HE is the angel sent by Christine's father to gain her trust 2)idk but i was thinking about this part of the book where he mentions realistic mask so he could've practiced making those with this mechanical project
So here're some sketches of Erik's sketchbook (wanted to add some notes as well but ugh i didn't have any ideas)
Erik creating his mechanical Angel of Music
And Christine seeing the "Angel of Music" instead of creepy mirror bride
Okay so i've been thinking about this au/hc since i've heard "Mechanical Angel" by Sunday Driver for the first time (3-4 years) and it's actually make sense at least in my head☝️🤓
also please listen to Mechanical Angel by Sunday Driver this song is soooo phantom coded
ive started picturing leroux raoul as hugh skinner playing jack worthing in this specific production of the importance of being earnest
raoul, trying to figure out if christine is in danger or just dating somebody else:

Lil Ramin gifset (Part 1). First two gifs really show that he went to the Earl Carpenter and JOJ school of Rik. And I love how Gina tries to calm his frantic energy in the third.
