5. What’s your favorite thing to draw?

Can my answer be comics and sequentials? :D I like when my pictures can tell a story. A single illustration can definitely tell a whole story on its own, but I love the visual journey that a sequence of images can give you, and I'm happiest when I can achieve that! Animations fall under this too, they're just super time consuming to do.

32. What defines your artistic style?

Based on what I've put my energy to over the years: clean lines & bright, saturated colours (I'm trying to tone this down, actually). I think I have a particular way of drawing eyes, and faces in general, that comes from being a Yu-Gi-Oh! fanartist for a very long time xD

Do you draw professionally, or just for fun?

ATM mostly for fun, but I do have some work lined up and I'm turtle shuffling towards art as a profession! :3

20. What is the easiest thing for you to draw?

I have a couple answers to this.

Mirage!! I always have one character that I default to, and it's been him for the last year or so. I draw him all the time, too. Other artists can relate to this, right?!

In general, humans and humanoids! (like robots :D) this might be too broad. Specifically, I love drawing hand and arm gestures!

Something I'm not particularly good at but find easy to do (like, to just jump into) is sketching legs. If I'm super stuck I'll just draw disembodied legs attached to a waist in various poses. Somehow it feels like there's no pressure if it's just legs? They might grow a body, they might not!

And also chibis! I'm not sure if they're easy per se (they're deceptively simple!) but if I want to cheer myself up, a chibi Mirage will do it like that! And then... life gets easier? LOL

I do!! I've done art collabs and things like big bangs and comics/art books.I haven't done it as often in recent years, but group projects are fun! :^D

Something interesting I noticed in MMR is that Skywarp and Mirage’s conjunxing capes, in addition to including design elements from each others wings, and wheels, and the architecture as you stated, appear to resemble each others faction symbols. I’d have to assume that was intentional?

Was it intentional to have them resemble their faction symbols? :D to be completely honest, that was unintentional! I wish I had thought of it now, because I completely see what you mean!

I think trying to maintain that pointy wing-shape in the design made Mirage's cape more arrow-like, like the Decepticon insignia. Whereas Skywarp's cape is more softly slanted so the other components wouldn't clash with the wheel shapes; that lends it to look more like the less-angular Autobrand. The circular shape at the top is positioned perfectly too! But no, I can't say it was on purpose. Hehe.

just read both parts of my matchless refuge and i love it soooo much!!! spywarp have such an interesting dynamic, im so curious to see where it goes. i love your worldbuilding too; the explanation of the roost in part 2 was really cool!! and i especially loved the panels in part 2 where skywarp takes off and mirage transforms to watch him, and then on the next page where skywarp is floating upside down. so gorgeous!!! also enjoying the little omakes at the end hehehe.

all is to say, thank u for your hard work creating such a fun juicy comic, i’m excited to follow along as you post more!!! :D

I made little Mirage/Skywarp plushes! Mirage is a Keychain/Mirror and Skywarp is a Magnet/Bottle Opener!

Really pleased with the quality of them. Soft and very squishy. It makes me laugh so hard just so squeeze their little faces!! (,,>﹏<,,) Ahhh spywarp!

I want to list these for anyone interested! They would be 14USD, You would be able to grab both or buy them together at a discount (24USD together). I'd like to do an interest check, though!

For those interested, are you OK with Mirage as Keychain(+mirror) and Skywarp as Magnet(+ bottle opener)? Or should they be printed on same item? I have a poll below, but feel free to let me know your thoughts and let me know if you're interested in the comments:

If the vote is super mixed and there's a lot of interest, I can list them both! Below the cut are some additional thoughts and observations regarding the plushies.

I printed on different surfaces so I could see what each would be like, but I was also deliberate with those choices :)

Mirage is 15g (+6g w/ keychain) while Skywarp is 30g

The linework of Mirage's eyes and edge of his helm were a little too thin for me; when you move the fabric around and don't smooth it back down, it looks a little smudged even though it's not LOL. I have now thickened the line art so it'll print more crisply!

Gotta be careful when you slap Skywarp on the fridge or whatever metal surface of your choice! The magnet is on the bottom under the opener, and he's a little top heavy.

Hello! Another update. I received my samples, but I confirmed w the manu: between my two sample orders they just so happened to switch product molds. lil part 3 WIPs cus I haven't posted in a while. I promise I've been working on it a little almost every single day :')

I was really hoping to get this part out within two months of the last part but I'm not sure I can do it :'( we'll see. It's been a busy month and kinda hard! I know you can all relate.

I'm also working on the final third of the story and going backwards; there are some scenes in part 3 I've not finalized yet cus of little tiebacks I'm still ironing out hehe... But maybe I should just lock them in and move forward.
