At age 23, Tina Fey was working at a YMCA. At age 23, Oprah was fired from her first reporting job. At age 24, Stephen King was working as a janitor and living in a trailer.
At age 27, Vincent Van Gogh failed as a missionary and decided to go to art school. At age 28, J.K. Rowling was a suicidal single parent living on welfare.
At age 28, Wayne Coyne ( from The Flaming Lips) was a fry cook. At age 30, Harrison Ford was a carpenter. At age 30, Martha Stewart was a stockbroker. At age 37, Ang Lee was a stay-at-home-dad working odd jobs. Julia Child released her first cookbook at age 39, and got her own cooking show at age 51. Vera Wang failed to make the Olympic figure skating team, didn’t get the Editor-in-Chief position at Vogue, and designed her first dress at age 40. Stan Lee didn’t release his first big comic book until he was 40. Alan Rickman gave up his graphic design career and landed his first movie role at age 42. Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get his first major movie role until he was 46.
Morgan Freeman landed his first major movie role at age 52. Kathryn Bigelow won the Academy Award for Best Director when she made The Hurt Locker at age 57. Grandma Moses didn’t begin her painting career until age 76. Louise Bourgeois didn’t become a famous artist until she was 78. Whatever your dream is, it is not too late to achieve it. You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21. Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow. Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it.
Never tell yourself you missed your chance.
Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough.
You can do it. Whatever it is.

TALK ABOUT A COMPLETE MIND FUCK OF FUCKERY!!!!!
WHAT THE FUCK
this is so fucked?? and the last clip is literally little mix’s situation?
This is why merch is so expensive, why concert tickets are so expensive, why some artists beg you not to illegally download their album, why big artists fight so hard for small artists, why it’s a problem that streaming sites/apps don’t pay the artists enough.
Record labels are literally like old school Hollywood studios - they own their artists in every sense of the word. And they exploit them.
For a source, this is from “Artifact” which was Jared Leto and 30STM fighting their record label and them documenting the process. This was a fascinating documentary, and this clip above is one of the reasons.
How to Live a Life that is Meaningful
1. First, figure out what matters most to you.
2. Have the courage to live that life, no matter how hard it is, and no matter how much others mock or criticise you because of it.
3. Don’t look to others for affirmation and approval. You need to be true to yourself, and not to others.
4. Discover what you’re really passionate about. What makes you lose all sense of time, and leaves you feeling relaxed and fulfilled?
5. Be willing to experiment with other interests, too. We’re usually interested in lots of different things, and that brings balance to our personality.
6. Respect and listen to that quiet inner voice. That will redirect you if you start to veer off course.
7. Pursue excellence in everything you do. Work hard, acquire knowledge, and develop your skills.
8. Invest your knowledge and abilities in making a real difference in the lives of other people.
9. Make friends with failure – it’s a crucial part of growth. It means that you are trying, and not wasting your life.
10. Build strong and lasting relationships. Little else will matter if you end up all alone.

Best Product Discoveries of 2015
Each year I share with you my favourite products that I’ve continuously used throughout the year, but in all honesty not much has changed in the way of my go-to products since 2014. Rather than writing a long, repetitive list I’ve instead decided to share a combination of different products I’ve tried this year that I feel are incredible and worthy of being classed as some of the best products I’ve tried.
Trilogy Make-up Be Gone Cleansing Balm
Although I only started using this towards the end of 2015 it deserves a special place on this list. Easily one of the best skincare products/cleansers I’ve ever tried this natural cleansing balm removes every trace of waterproof makeup, dirt and oil without stinging, irritation or excessive greasiness.
Go-To Face Hero
Although a relativity new skincare line, Go-To has been a staple in my beauty routine since it launched last year and I can’t see that changing any time soon. “Face Hero” is one of the best skincare serums/oils/super products my skin has ever been lucky enough to try. This product immediately hydrates, plumps and smooths the skin leaving it dewy and smooth.
MAC Pro-Longwear Concealer
This product has a lot of hype so I had my reservations when it came to trying it (so much that I only decided to give it a go early this year) but I don’t regret it. If you’re after incredible long wearing coverage then this is the product you need in your makeup bag. Full Review
Illamasqua Gel Sculpt - Silhouette
Another product that I only tried towards the middle/end of this year but, easily one of the best. Extremely under-hyped this sheer, gel-like contour stick gives the most natural looking, cool toned contour you’ll ever see. Full Review
Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Palette
A discovery that occurred early in 2015, I haven’t been able to put this product down. It’s simple and to the naked eye, doesn’t look like anything special (you won’t find any bright pearly shades or glitter in this palette) However, this palette is practical, oh so practical. It doesn’t matter what look I’m doing, I always find a use for this palette in my routine. Full Review
Stila Stay All Day Brow Gel
Que *my favourite eyebrow product ever* Some people hate this product and other people simply just don’t give it the time of day but this tinted brow cream is my all-time favourite brow product. The texture turns a little dry once you squeeze out the product which means you can create super natural, feather like brow strokes. Full Review
Ciate Precious Metal Eyeshadows
Ciate are famous for their nail polishes, but very few people know of their makeup line. The Ciate Precious Metal Eyeshadows aren’t a very well known product but I love them either way. Used dry these loose, shimmering eyeshadows give a gorgeous sheer sheen to the eyelids but used wet they look like pure liquid gold/rose gold/bronze on the eyes.
Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer
Everyone has been into matte lips this year but I’m still a sucker for anything glossy. Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer’s are incredible long wearing, high pigment glosses that leave a stain on the lips and feel super comfortable. (I’ve never rubbed my lips together so much whilst wearing a product, and they don’t budge!)
Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons
This year, Burt’s Bees got nude. Well not technically but they did create the best nude lipstick I’ve ever found and one of the very few that works on my fair skintone. The semi-matte high pigment formula make them a winner in my book and the other shades in the range aren’t bad either. Full Review
Quick PSA for Star Wars
I’m a manager for a Regal Cinemas theatre, so I promise you this is accurate info, at least for Regal Entertainment Group theatres.
If you plan to go and you want to dress up, please check with your theatre if you’re unsure about your costume.
Masks will not be allowed, and neither will prop weapons. I know those are probably obvious to people, but I’d hate for someone to get dressed up and then get turned away.
Another big thing that I didn’t even think about–face paint counts as a mask, at least for Regal theatres. If you show up in Darth Maul facepaint we are not allowed to let you in. This is a corporate, safety decision. No exceptions. So please, be prepared and treat your theatre gently, it’s going to be very, very busy.
Please signal boost this, I would hate to have someone do their face up as a character and have to wash it off or miss their movie.
