🌙 waking up from a nightmare 🌙
waking up from a nightmare can be rlly scary, especially if you’re regressed :( here are some ways you can make yourself feel better, and also feel safe after having one!
☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️☁️🌙☁️⭐️
• turn on a night light or lamp so you can see! look around n you’ll find that there are no scary monsters! don’t worry, it was only a dream!
• breathe! in through your nose and out through your mouth if you can! try the 4-7-8 technique! breath in for 4 seconds, hold it for 7 seconds, and breathe out for 8, and repeat! this is also helpful if you’re trying to go back to sleep!
• watch a comfort show if you can fall back asleep! i’d suggest not watching anything too scary, to avoid any more bad dreams!! but everyone is different, so it’s rlly up to you! whatever may help! <3
• use grounding techniques! a good one that i personally find helpful is listing 5 things you can see, 4 things you can feel, 3 things you can hear, two things you can smell, and one thing you can taste! a similar one is naming something for each letter of the alphabet! or picking a color and listing all the things you can see that are that color!
• cuddle with a stuffie! they’re there to protect you!! they won’t let any scary monsters get to you! make sure there close by! you can hug them as you try to fall back asleep, or you can sit them up near you so they’re on guard while you sleep!
• listen to some calming music! (or any music that may comfort you!) on youtube, there are music box versions of popular songs! as well as disney lullabies, which i find quite calming!
• avoid looking at the time! watching a clock can cause more stress! don’t focus on what time it is; focus on making yourself feel safe and calming down using the previous tips <3

🪐 Self-care Activities For Upset/Overwhelmed Littles 🪐
- Grab a piece of paper and pens and go crazy! Draw out aaaall of those big feelings. You can throw it away or rip it apart afterwards, if that helps.
- Talk to your stuffie! If you don't feel like talking, remember that you can always communicate telepathically to your stuffies. They will understand!
- Grab some toys/stuffies and play out a scene that made you upset or a situation that you are nervous for. What would your stuffies do? How would they make themselves feel better? What would you say to them to make them feel better?
- If you need a distraction, put on your favourite show/movie or listen to some songs to help you calm down. Maybe have a playlist ready if you ever need it again!
- If there is one feeling/thought that is consistently making you worry and getting in your way, make a feelings box/jar. You can write down that feeling, fold it up and put it in the box. Once it's inside, the feeling is safely tucked away and can't worry you anymore! And you can keep using the box/jar in the future.
- Take a bath, if you like. Gather any bath bombs/salts and bath toys you may have. Splash, play, rest. You could listen to an audiobook/podcast or play some music. When I'm all done and pull out the plug, what I like to do is lay down, close my eyes and imagine that as the water is slowly going down, so are aaany bad thoughts and feelings that I don't need and I always feel a bit lighter afterwards. You could try it too, if you think it will help!

🧸 : Reminder to respect caregivers on tumblr!!!! I’ve seen far too many caregivers leave because of how they’re treated. Please respect their boundaries!! And don’t ask them if you can be their little UNLESS they are searching for one. Most caregivers online just want to interact and talk with everyone and dont want a little or already have one!
They have their own lives too and don’t owe us anything! They come here to make cute posts and talk with us, we should treat them like people :] they are doing so much for our community! You gotta respect them, respect what they want, respect they have lives outside of online, and appreciate how wonderful they really are. Don’t push them to do things they don’t want! They aren’t ignoring you or bad caregivers because they don’t want a little. Don’t push things like that onto them!! It’s stressful!
And to the caregiver accounts? Thank you for helping us 💕💕 you are wonderful people and you need so much more appreciation then you get! Thank you for making us posts to help us regress, thank you for interacting with us, and thank you for being yourselves!
Why is it that healing is for the “cute” and the “pretty”? I remember scrolling on (SFW) age regression posts on TikTok (don’t judge me I get bored ok) and while everyone was so supportive of the skinny, cute girls as soon as a bit of an older guy was just happily doing his thing all the comments were so so negative? I normally don’t make posts about this but I feel like this needs to be way more talked about, while we’ve come a long way we still have such internalized judgement on what’s acceptable just by whos doing it and what their face looks like

Stuffies, teddy bears, cuddly toys whatever you call them I’m sure we all feel soft and cuddley at times. But for some this is the feeling during stuffie regression.
🧸stuffies are candyvorous, so buying their favourite sweets is a must !! (Don’t forget to eat ur greens tho!)
🧸stuffies crave Hugs and protection so cuddling snuggling can help your stuffie.
🧸stuffies like cuddling not only with their human friends but with other stuffies too
🧸stuffies are very clingy, they need a lot of affection and attention, and will often follow their human friend around.
🧸stuffies take many forms maybe discussing the type of stuffie creating art of yourself.
🧸a lot stuffies might emulate animal species' (fictional or not) behavior - stuffed dragons might have little hoards for example
🧸stuffies Benefit from their connection with their friend. often sleeping or cuddling with them for comfort goes both ways.
🧸stuffies nap often! unlike other toys, instead of playing when the humans leave the room, they tend to nap to gain energy for more cuddles
