Did a first photoshoot as Kíli today, still need some extra pieces to finish my cosplay though~

Brother? I have a request of you.

“Oh-? And what might that request be, brother?” Kíli looked at him with curiosity.

Kíli nodded. He was there with his brother, being able to go into detail about what happened but he decided to keep it brief. He didn’t want to scare off his lady. He started scribbling on the paper, making sure it was readable.

When Fíli spoke of Thorin, Kíli couldn’t help but groan. “Of course he told me about it- I can’t even believe he made that decision. He said it was solely political, but I don’t quite believe him. There was something in his eyes,” he spoke, tapping the feather against his lips as he thought. “I can’t believe the King of Mirkwood is family now... well he would be one day, through Legolas but still.”

Wait.... what?!?! Alarm filled Fili and he sat up, groaning in pain as he did so. His head swam and he felt sick before it passed. “King Thranduil is ... family? What happened? Kili tell me everything I’ve missed. Uncle only told me he was giving up the throne to mother and releasing us from being heirs.”

What was Kili talking about? What was going on?!

Kíli blinked as he saw the sudden panic in Fíli’s eyes, he even thought he saw him getting paler. “Careful nadad,” he stopped him from sitting up. “Don’t hurt yourself... okay so, you’re not going to like this. Our uncle... he married Thranduil, I don’t know if his motives were solely political. I might even think he has a liking for that elf. The King was going to be family, since one day, Legolas and I are to be joined in marriage,” he spoke, the thought making him smile, well the thought of him getting married to Legolas.

He frowned at Fíli’s last words. “What-? Has he been giving us mixed messages?” he asked, slowly starting to get angry. He definitely needed a serious word with his uncle.

“I heard no one has contacted the lady I am weeping about my injuries. I told her I was on the way when we left almost a month ago and she has heard nothing since. Can ye send a letter to her for me? I wish to inform her of what has happened.”

Kíli sat next to the bed his brother was resting in. “Of course nadad,” he got up to pick up a piece of paper and a quill. “Shall I write it for you, or shall you?” the younger asked. Luckily, his brother was doing way better already. When they had been in the forest, Kíli had feared for his brother’s life, his health had been in danger.

“Can ye? I’ve not got good control of my arm yet. I would nay like her seeing me writing like a child.” Reaching over he put a shaky hand on his brother.

“Tell me after the note how you and your elf are doing.”

He held Fíli’s hand and softly squeezed it. “Alright, tell me what I have to write down nadad,” he said, getting the paper ready by putting it on his leg.

“Oh-? You interested in Legolas and I? I can say we are doing very well. I’ve beek working hard to make a bead that will come close to how perfect he is,” he spoke, a soft blush creeping onto his cheeks as he spoke about his partner.
