My best friend and I have gotten back into Bleach and while falling back into this delicious hellhole she introduced me to you. And I have read and reread and just obsessed over everything youāve posted because I love your writing so much and I want to share it with anyone who loves Bleach. If itās still open and you donāt mind, can I ask you what you think Renji, Shuhei, and Kensei (my top boys) think of their girlfriend with tattoos? Thank you BiB! ššš
Thank you sweetie! You and your bf have apparently drawn me back from my void with your delicious asks. While I finish the fic, hope this satisfies for the moment š I kinda went off on some tangents on the guys tattoos too.
*Iāll start by noting that since all three of these hotties have tattoos themselves, none of them are going to be averse to any ink.
*All of them were tattooed using Tebori, no modern machines. They each sat there for hours and, despite the taboo on tattoos, proudly show them off throughout the Seireitei.
Renji:
*Renji is the dude that got inked once and ended up addicted. They have meaning and have been specifically curated to suit his body like an art gallery, but the man loves him some ink.
*Which makes it all the more impressive that each one is done using the Tebori method.
*There is some discussion as to whether Renjiās tattoos link to his connection with his zanpakuto or if they're just done to look cool.
*I can see the case for both, but I lean more towards the connection with Zabimaru. Renji was in the 11th division before transferring to the 6th. And I think we can all agree that looking cool in the 11th has more to do with your ability to fight than how much ink you have. Not to mention the fact that Zabimaru has similar markings. Just my two cents.
*Renji loves seeing your tattoos (though being inked isnāt a deal breaker). He likes trading stories about how and why you got each particular one.
*Renji never tries to talk you out of getting another tattoo if itās something you want. In fact, heāll probably start talking about the next piece heās saving up for on himself.
Shuhei:
*Shuhei has two tattoos that we know of: his 69 in homage to Kensei for saving his life as a kid, and the blue band running across his cheek and the bridge of his nose.
*Shuhei appreciates the artistry in ink, but given the fact that one of his tattoos has a known meaning and the other is a blue band, he knows that sometimes itās just about expression and not everything needs to have a deeper meaning. Heās understanding and chill like that.
*Shuhei wears his tattoos like his scars, as badges of honor. Ink taboo? Not with him. Heās happy to see you show off your art too rather than hiding it away.
*Absolutely holds your hand if you get a new tattoo in a sensitive area, or if itās your first one and you just need some moral support. He insists on being there for you.
Kensei:
*Canonically, Kensei has gotten tattooed only twice: once for the 6 and later on to add the 9. Then in all his 100+ years in the world of the living, he only gets piercings after that.
*Both numbers have meaning to him, the 6 being symbolic of his last name as well as the fact that he was previously the Lieutenant under Ginrei Kuchiki before becoming Captain of the 9th and getting that number added.
*Though he doesnāt really have any plans to add to his tattoos anytime soon, he really loves it when you show his ink some appreciation, so he loves doing the same for yours.
*He also secretly loves getting peeks at your tattoos when out in public on dates, particularly ones that might get covered up normally. He knows exactly where to find them and he loves being reminded of that fact.
