When her mother told her the story of how she came to be, she started with Always and Forever.

Somewhere along the way of being detached from those that mattered the most, Hope Mikaelson decided it was time for a change. For their family to unite, for her to see her father, for them to be together, for them to be one. So she did what was necessary for her father to return to New Orleans…

…and she succeeded.

Though before she even had a chance to register what was going on around her, other problems arose that resulted in her mother having to sacrifice herself. Hope, knowing that she had been the cause of her mother’s fate because she set her mother in harm’s way, made sure to conjure a better plan to right her wrongs.

Because she had taken the vow too. Family was power and their family picture without Hayley there wasn’t right and the littlest wolf needed her Alpha to pave the way.

She had done what was necessary to get her father back and now it was time to do the same for her mother.

Luring her family into a boundary spell she was able to have everyone in one place, close enough for the Hollow to inhabit her. She knew she couldn’t hold on for too long, having to act fast and fight the Hollow as its power coursed through her veins. She chanted a spell, tricking the Hollow and channelled its power to resurrect her mother and have it trade places, bringing Hayley to the land of the living and trapping the Hollow on the other side.

However, a spell that big was sure to reap consequences, there’s now a tiny crack between the land of the living and the land of the dead

…and her mother isn’t the only one who’s back. 

Old faces, friends and foe alike. 

Can she figure out how to close it before their enemies come back to haunt them or the crack gets big enough for the Hollow to come back through?

Who knows.

Following tradition, every year Queen Margaery opens her doors to Royals, Nobles, Lords and Ladies to spend a month in the UK to network, forge alliances and find reputable suitors to tie nations and countries together. The Queen herself opens up her homes dotted around England for everyone lucky enough to get an invite to enjoy their stay in luxury and comfort, even going as far to make sure there are suitable accommodations for any staff to also tag along.

However, this stay is to take a darker turn when a body is found amongst many balls and festivities her majesty throws. This leads to everyone having to stay longer than intended as a thorough investigation takes place to identify what happened, why it happened and who did it.

When you’re a part of or close to what’s considered the ‘elites’ of society, rumor's spread, affairs bloom, lies are told, bastards are born and sometimes it works in your best interest to eliminate anything or anyone who may seem to be a threat.

As the investigation progresses and more news gets released to the press, surely it’ll be easy to uncover the perpetrator, right?

“We wanted something spectacular but really tasteful,” says exec producer Laurie McCarthy. “It had to live in the world of someone who had 100 tailors at her disposal but who also was going to get married somewhat unexpectedly.”

Costume head Meredith Markworth-Pollack commissioned Debra Moreland to custom-design the crown and veil for the regal occasion. The earrings are from BHLDN. “They’re one of my favorites,” says Markworth-Pollack of the bridal brand. Designer Amanda Judge’s Untamed Petals crafted the bridal belt. “Viewers never know how extreme we’re going to go…by being a little more traditional we’re actually surprising them,” Markworth-Pollack says.

Because of the boldness of the crown, the team went with an upswept coif for Kane. “Usually we see Mary with her hair down, but it’s so classic with her hair pulled back,” enthuses Markworth-Pollack. “I think it’s quite stunning.”

Red-carpet favorite Monique Lhuillier offered production 10 dresses for consideration, but when the team saw this spring 2012 Platinum Collection Catherine dress, it was no contest. “I knew this was the one,” Markworth-Pollack says. With its long sleeves and lace, the gown may evoke a certain other royal bride (paging Kate Middleton!), but the homage wasn’t intentional. “We wanted something that looked regal and beautiful but also elegant,” she explains. Once they settled on the delicate Chantilly lace gown, it required only one alteration: “We had to do some tucks at the bottom because of the dancing sequence,” Markworth-Pollack reveals.
