It was a sad, possibly booze-fueled night for everyone. As dramatic as it might’ve sounded, the McDonald’s had become a staple in their lives, and their diets. Hell, they hadn’t even gotten any warning, just the sign telling them the empty plot was for sale.

Cole leaned against the fence, gently rubbing Ash’s back in an attempts to console him. “I-I know, I’m sorry A-Ash”

“w-we could go see of there’s anything left…m-maybe…maybe something we could take h-home to remember it?”

Ash slumps against the fence as Cole attempts to console him, his face pressed into the cold chain link. He wonders why they would tear the place down without any warning--though if he had payed any attention to the neon yellow flier taped to the front door a week ago, the loss might have been a little less abrupt.

He perks up again at the mention of taking home a souvenir. It was the perfect excuse to trespass and steal. How could he resist? “--Good idea.” With that, he immediately scales the fence and manages to climb over the top bar, mindful not to snag his jeans on the protruding, V-shaped ends along it. Not that another tear would matter much anyway; they were basically just threads already. It’s with a solid thud his boots hit the ground, his wallet chain and all the loose change in his pockets rattling. “They probably t-took all the--the cool shit already.”
