Damn it Tumblr now I'M dipping my feet into Woundwort x Campion water, so here's some classic Hanahaki disease angst.

Campion is not meant to be dead in this pic btw; he's translucent and ghost-like just to symbolize how he's metaphorically dead to Woundwort, having betrayed him and any feelings Woundwort might have had for Campion

Btw yes I'm aware that apparently rabbits can't vomit, but biological accuracy doesn't apply here mkay? Yes those are also actual woundwort and campion flowers as well

OH MY GOD I FINALLY GOT MYSELF TO DRAW SMTH, AND ITS FOR WATERSHIP DOWN!!

Anyways darkhaven gaaaang!

Was initially only thinking about Spartina (i really like Spartina :)) but then decided to draw the rest of the main darkhaven rabbits in my style.

I remember seeing a post on here, cant remember from who, where someone suggested the idea of the Darkhaven rabbits actually being Hares, and that idea really stuck out to me and became abit of a personal hc so i tried to resemble that with how i drew Granite, Shale and Feldspar(or atleast tried to) while still staying true to the show's style. Mainly seen with their eyes having a dark scelera, sense i consider the most distinct part of hares being their big dark piercing eyes, plus their sharper more defined faces. Spartina is the only exception sense she's still a regular rabbit, though she definitely resembles the hares probably due to toughening up to survive in their brutal society.

Also an extra Granite side profile cause his face is weird and i wanted to figure it out some more,its probably obvious im not used to drawing lagomorphs

I’m alive, 2023 was just an unexpectedly tough year (my dad passed away) and I didn’t feel like posting anything on this blog for a while because of it.

The Watership Down series was a huge part of my childhood and still is very important to me.

Bigwig in particular was and is my favorite character, and I do plan on doing a post about him someday, but (and I didn’t realize this until a few years ago) he shares many characteristics with my dad and it was hard for my to think about Bigwig (and by extension Watership Down) without also thinking about my dad.

I’m ok and I think I’m ready to post on this blog again.
