Gilded blackstone is a variant of blackstone found exclusively in bastion remnants, that can drop itself or gold nuggets when mined.
The nether portal block is the translucent part of the nether portal that teleports the player to and from the Nether.

Thatâs the WHOLE ASS NETHER how is this even close. She gave you alchemy, unique monsters, new biomes, lore, etc. What did that fucking gold block give you that even compared to her.

Gilded Blackstone can do all of the above, and isn't the worse part of a mandatory build, considering obsidian is arguably better than both these choices combined.
Additionally, Gilded Blackstone is rare enough I've used it as a source of currency trade when I needed it, it's beautiful decoration for any ornate room, it's a silk touched block, AND (again) it's at least a tangible block.
I'd compare it to a trade off of diamond ore (better looks, worse practicality), and the portal is... Mid. At least the end portal has stars.

I reject the premise that trans women are the "main" targets of transphobia. I reject the premise that trans women are victimized more, worse, or more intentionally by transphobia than trans men. I reject the premise that trans men are only accidental or secondary targets of transphobia. I reject the premise that trans men are merely splash damage casualties in attacks against trans women. I reject the premise that trans men are only accidentally harmed by transphobia.
I should not have to post about transmasc issues with a disclaimer that "of course" trans women are hurt worse by this. I should not have to apologize for posting about transmasc issues instead of transfemme issues.
There is nothing accidental about transphobia. Every facet of it is intentional. Trans men are not bystanders in the genocide against all trans people. Trans men aren't accidental targets of trans genocide.

I feel like grace was in such a rush to turn that ship around and hightail it back to rocky that he was indiscriminate about what data he sent back. just shoved it all into the beetle probes, just to realize âok so 20% of that data is scientific breakthroughs to save the worldâŠâŠ..80% me and rockyâs movie reviews. and I def forgot to delete the fifteen minute long dance off. hm.â

I need to talk about something that the film Project Hail Mary does really well: Grace is so alone on Earth. The only people we see him having fun with are the kids who are no longer present past the first scene with them, and Carl, who once Grace becomes actively involved in the project, stops being shown. Stratt pushes him away gently, never really letting him in. He is always alone in a lab, alone at the bar.
the bar scene was insane to me in terms of framing. We see Grace, alone in the corner, looking at all the other people having fun together. He locks eyes with some of the astronauts, and all three of them look awkward. Stratt looks at him, but never moves towards him, never makes contact. He is always alone. He is lonely.
Rocky makes his world light up. He has energy, he uses his teacher voice, he bounces a ball off of the xenonite walls while chatting with Rocky. He climbs a tree, he surfs, he makes puppet shows âreluctantlyâ. Rocky means that Grace is loved. Grace feels loved. People have already pointed out that Rocky and Stratt both play the Trolley Problem with Grace, Stratt choosing the rational option, and Rocky choosing the emotional one. Hereâs my imput:
Grace plays the Trolley Problem with himself. On earth he hasnât got it in him to sacrifice himself for the entire planet, he has nothing to die for, no motivation. He chooses to sacrifice the earth, even if that choice was overturned.
Grace chooses to sacrifice himself for Rocky. He pulls the lever and puts his life on the line, for the one person he knows will do the same, the person who has already done the same. Rocky is the person he will die for, because with Rocky, he actually lived.
Rocky means Grace is not alone. Rocky means Grace isnât lonely
