Hard to believe it's been nearly a year since Mary, Sienna, Farah and I uprooted from Putney to Stony Stratford. It's been quite a bit of a change for us and we're still adjusting to a new life here. We miss London and our friends massively but it's days like this sunny morning and seeing Sisi loving being close to her grandparents who are still being a brilliant help that makes it worthwhile. Heat (1995) A timeless crime thriller

Watched one of my all time favourite films; Michael Mann's cops and robbers masterpiece Heat (1995) last night in it's newly remastered Blu-Ray release. I was struck at how timeless it felt despite being 22 years old, that it didn't feel it was pigeonholed in a particular era (with the exception of using slightly chunky mobile phones) and this in turn meant we could really invest in the characters and revel in the realism of the techniques used by both sides of the law. Still a fresh, contemporary and gripping crime thriller with a strong cast and fantastic visuals many years later.
