Cafes were nice. Coffee was a good way to keep him energized while he was running around, and everyone was always too busy with their own work schedules to pay him much attention. Not to mention this place was fairly empty regardless. Fingers drummed against the table as he waited for a call from the boss, eyes staring at the empty espresso cup that was on his table. He was certain he was supposed to get a call soon---he hadn’t gotten one recently. Soon enough, the familiar ring began once again, and his head snapped up to the waiter that was currently...carrying the phone elsewhere!

Standing up as fast as he could, he bolted over to where the waiter was, phone ringing the entire time. He had to get it! Not to mention it was just rude that the other was ignoring the ringing in the first place. Jeez, you’d think he’d pick up and realize the call was for him.  When he finally reached the other, he wasted no time in grabbing the phone (a coffee meant for another customer) and gave the waiter a glare.

“When a phone is ringing, you pick it up! Idiota!”

Putting the phone up to his ear, he turned away from the other, giving out a “Pronto?” and listening for the boss’ words.

{hey guys, I have a heads up to give! Starting tomorrow, (Friday, May 6th) I will be heading out of country—specifically I’ll be heading to Italy for a class of mine then to the UK. I will be gone for a month (and two days as I return on June 8th), and supposedly, at least while in Italy, I will have access to wifi. however there is no guarantee how much free time I will have! particularly the first two weeks since it is for a class, and I do have an essay to be doing (as well as another paper for another class that unfortunately clashes with this one).

so what this means is for both Clover here and Totoko I will be doing what I can whenever I can, but for Doppio/Diavolo, Fugo, Jonathan, and Kars I will be putting them on hiatus for the duration of the trip!

Mista didn’t go around advertising the nerf that was put on his stand. In fact, he wasn’t even sure if he had told Fugo or Giorno yet about it. No matter though, he was still tough, he could still hold his own in a fight. He just currently wasn’t the Mista he used to be, a fact he intended to change.

Mista’s obliviousness could be, and probably would be, a downfall to him some day. It’s not often you invite an enemy of yours out for some coffee was it. Especially not knowing they were a threat at all.

Ordering his beverage and a snack, he paid and waited for Doppio to take a turn. It was nice to spend time with someone new. He heard the beginning of his name and looked over confused, until mister was uttered.

“Me? Guido Mista. You got it kinda close on accident.”

Close was right. He could feel himself breaking into a cold sweat already. This was going to be incredibly difficult to maneuver, and he already felt like he was going to have to bail about partway through.

Or else just have to make excuses the plenty to get himself out of it.

“Guido Mista,” he repeated, as if he hadn’t already known the other’s name entirely too well.

“Well it’s...nice to meet you, Guido. Even if this is...entirely unorthodox?”

Yeah, he’d call it that. Some weird meeting over sweaters. He had absolutely no idea why the other was persistent on that. He didn’t know a fair amount about the traitors other than the basics really---actually he really just knew the other’s name and his stand.

Boy was this going to be some form of getting to know the enemy.

{♤} Being unfortunate enough to get stuck in embarrassing situations is something Frey can relate to an extend, even though he happens to be somewhat lucky most the time. He’s been in embarrassing situations before, as well. So when that guy calls out for him to lend a hand, he decides to help out. He puts his cellphone back into the pocket of his coat and walks over.

“Fine. Hold still.” He fidgets with the sweater, trying to get it away from the chain link fence.

The relief that washed over Doppio as soon as the man agreed to help was plastered all over his face. He was extraordinarily thankful of the other, there was no way he was going to be getting out of this without his help.

“Thank you, thank you so much,” he sighed out, not entirely sure how he should help the other with getting it undone, so instead staying completely still.

“I thought I was going to be stuck here forever---or at the least a few hours...”

Things can only go downhill once they start with him.

For instance, his bad luck had already started to show up for the day, and it could only get worse as it went on. Now was a good example of that. How he’d gotten his sweater caught on a chain link fence in passing he will never be able to answer, but it had happened, and now he was stuck like that.

He was most definitely taking the first inkling of help that came along.

“E-excuse me, sir---”

“Please...please can you help me for a moment...”

Skittish as per usual, Doppio did his best to carry out the tasks he was assigned across the city by his boss. There weren’t many---avoid his daughter until he could do something himself, avoid her traitorous friends for the same reason, pick up this and that---but they were enough to keep him busy and on his toes. Right now he simply had to get the boss some coffee and some books---simple things to do.

If he wasn’t stuck in a large crowd.

Coffee in hand, he tried to squeeze his way through the crowd best he could, gripping onto the cup so he didn’t spill. Things were going well so far, they really were. Of course...then his awful luck had to step in. Without being able to watch where he was going, his foot hit a crack, causing him to trip and stumble forward. Falling directly onto the person in front of him, the coffee in his spilled all over the man in front of him (as well as himself).

“Ah---oh, o-oh no I’m sorry---”

“Mi dispiace tanto!”
