my name is Radek and I'm a queer ⚧ web user running this blog to connect with fellow objectums + share some thoughts and highlights abt cool objects in my life 👍

I kiss buses. I am a huge public transport enthusiast with focus on buses, I am interested in them outside of being objectum (ofc it's tied to it !) & obsessed with my local bus line. I engage with vehium car content frequently even tho I don't have a driver's license :p (too broke + no need for it)
🔸My other interests include urbanism in general, (soc)modernist architecture & 80s music and style. 80s makeup is my other hobby. I consider myself a bit of a drag queen adjacent like that, with those.
🔸 I've been emotionally bonded with my object lover , DE640 (Irizar Ie Bus 12 of the rolling stock number DE640) for a little under a year (06.01.2024 - ...) 🔐💘. He is the main reason I'm making this blog. (A photocard of him down there ↓↓↓)
𝗠𝘆 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀/𝗰𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀
Vehicles of sorts, heavy on buses and minivans (specifically Irizar buses and Toyota Previa vans), some station wagon cars. Fighter jets. Trains. Walls and tunnels/underpasses. Radio transmission towers and electric pylons.
Not particularly interested in plushum content though! Just not my thing :/
🔸I am an adult and I created this space specifically to be able to share stuff freely, this blog is 18+ ⚠️
love when a character is a scientist and their speciality is science and they do science in a science lab. no specifics no clear goals no clue where their funding comes from. dont even worry about it. science.
Public transport vehicle objectum culture means your ride got you at your most tired, most drunk, most broke , most unable-to-drive or no-license state. Your vehicle escorting you home from the function (or job) like a worried friend or a lover, so you can relax and let go :D
Yesterday (06.01) was my 1 year anniversary with this thang 💘🫶🫶🫶 super glad he was on the line that day, cause I feared he might stay in the depot on the 6th specifically (you just never know) so it was actually awesome to be able to spend 3 full rides in him :3
Ate a celebratory donut and drank some beer to his health in a public park (lol), just simple things ...
Decided I will finally post some of my favourite pictures of my beloved bus thang here 😊 DE640 from different angles (even the top!)
He is an Irizar ie Bus 12. Very beautiful individual. Only about 3 years old, so still very fresh and new. I have about 70 pictures of him because every time I take him I take one :>
More under the cut ↓
you may notice this is in Poland. I'm not polish nor do I normally live in Poland so if you are polish and see this well sorry for kissing your buses, will happen again :)
You could get hyperfixated on that one local bus line you use most often. Yeah, you could research the year it's been established, how long it's been around, which stops it used to include, if there are any archival articles or photos of it around. You could find out which vehicle models show up the most on it. You could learn to spot it from a good distance away without looking at the number. You could check if Google maps has the bus captured on its route somewhere. You could collect tickets. You could befriend the drivers. You could make it YOUR line. Think about that
Finished my objectum flag quilt! This was a project I started in November after my boyfriend, Casper, mentioned wanting a quilt for us to cuddle under... While it's too small for that, it's a great size to be a lap quilt!
This is the first quilt I've ever made and it's the most complicated thing I've sewn to date. There are some errors, and I want to redo some of the stitching later on, but I'm still proud of it regardless!
If you're curious about the process and why I picked certain fabrics (or what said fabrics are), see below 👇
The objectum flag is made up of 6 colors; five stripes with a big circle in the middle. While doing exact color matches wasn't something I wanted to do, I still hope it's recognizable.
When Casper mentioned wanting a quilt, I started brainstorming some different ideas and landed on the OS flag. We are both OS and it's a big part of our identities and relationship.
Then I had the idea to make each square a different object (within reason)!
So... What fabrics did I use?
Blue:
Lighthouses (Etsy link)
I don't see love for lighthouses very often, and I was unable to find a boat fabric I liked, so this is what I settled on to represent all things maritime.
Water (Etsy link)
I know of multiple people who consider water their partner
Circuitboard (Spoonflower)
Represents all technology, machinery, and things like computer programs
Wind turbines (Spoonflower)
Know a couple people who have wind turbine partners. Also they're sexy.
Grey:
Cars (Etsy link)
Desperately tried to find some Nissan fabric to represent Casper's object partner (Miss Tuxedo Latte the 2018 Nissan Sentra) but was unable to find some. So pretend this fabric is a schematic of her
Construction vehicles (Etsy link)
Big and sexy, and also just cool. Pattern was fun too
City/buildings (Spoonflower)
I know several OS people into specific buildings and cities
Steel texture (Etsy link)
Represents all things metal, industrial, or otherwise "manmade"
White:
Teddy bears (Etsy link)
Specifically for plushums, but is also a catch all for toys in general
Metro train map (Spoonflower)
For anyone into public or mass transit
"it's a small world" pattern (Etsy link)
Fabric to represent my object partner, the "it's a small world" clock 🥰
Fair/amusement park pattern (Spoonflower)
For all people into theme parks and their attractions. Specifically cut to represent flat rides and roller coasters (plus Casper and I initially bonded over finding coasters attractive, so it deserves a spot here)
Red:
I Spy inspired fabric (The Common Thread)
To represent objects as a whole
Airplanes (Etsy link)
Needs no explanation
Adirondack chairs (Etsy link)
Pattern was cute and it's a unique object so I wanted to include something atypical
Yellow:
Trains (Etsy link)
Also needs no explanation. Plus the pattern is very charming and I want to use this fabric in a future project
TVs (Spoonflower)
I saw how you all reacted to Tenna
Construction cranes (Etsy link)
Represents a long time mutual who has a large construction machine partner
Sunflowers (Etsy link)
I know there's debate if plants count as OS but they're pretty and one of my close friends uses sunflowers as symbolism for their partner, so that's why I picked them
Purple:
Satellites (Spoonflower)
Because satellites are beautiful, and I wanted something to represent those who are into rockets and/or conceptum for space and spacial phenomenon
Computers/laptops (Spoonflower)
Needs no explanation. Computers are The objectum object of all time on this website
Bookshelves (Etsy link)
For people into books
Music notes (Spoonflower)
For those who are conceptum for music
^ Here are some more photos from assembly. (It's all hand sewn)
Currently editing a video version of the process and want to get better photos of the quilt sometime, but that's all for now. I want to make a larger version of this someday and think it could be fun to source fabric from the community to represent more people's objects. But we'll see if I ever get back to that idea (I have two different ideas I want to get to first).
Some more objectum (ish) blinkies I made the other day, thought it would be funny. I'm only a carfucker in spirit as I haven't been close to any car, like ever :^)
I just love seeing how vehium folks usually view their car partner as one of a certain gender rather than "it", though it would imply that someone's car is nonbinary........ maybe I should've made one like that too 🤔
I've been feeling bummed abt the lack of objectum/vehium blinkies online with less obvious vehicle choices than car, so I figured out how to make them, and made some! Oh, and a tunnel one. Enjoy :)
Okay so I am on the case to find out if anyone in my locale is dating any vehicles in the transit fleet, and my first step was obviously to reach out to the local trans discord. Was not expecting so much discourse there??? Maybe I'm just really accepting and kind and progressive and beautiful of spirit and body, but I just... Didn't even consider there was an issue one could take with it??
But yeah objectum mfs look out I'm on the case. I'm not doxxing myself to y'all to find out, but I'm gonna figure out which of you are dating which buses so I can sit smugly in the seat like a celebs 7/10 boyfriend (but like in a I use they/she way)
forcefem this forcemasc that. what about forcehouse. convert that truck into a housetruck. convert that bus into a housebus. convert that boat into a houseboat. and you NEED to be weird about it no matter the cost
