being an mcu fan is so embarrassing like yeah i am a big fan of one of the most famous, highest-grossing movie franchises of all time. yeah it's falling apart at the seams and it's run out of creativity and it looks boring and the plot is too overdone and a lot of the decisions being made behind the scenes are driven by racism, misogyny, and homophobia. but like it used to be really fun in the good old days all the actors weren't huge A list actors so they gave a shit about the projects and they were all friends with each other and the interviews were hilarious and the movies were made with a lot of heart and love and every once in a while you would get a crazy lil one second cameo and it wasn't a lot but it was a fun easter egg for you and the three people who were caught up on the lore. man where did we go wrong

“Spiderman makes GenZ love superhero movies again”
It’s not that we don’t like superhero movies, it’s that we lack superheroes we can relate to (and Marvel has been popping out slop 60% of the time lately). Spiderman/Peter Parker (specifically Tom’s) is super relatable to me as an 18 year old that went from an awkward little kid filled with hopes and dreams to an awkward, anxious, depressed, unemployed, broke starving artist that’s losing hope in the future. A lot of us are tired of seeing these perfect heroes that don’t suffer from real life problems that we deal with everyday. You can be the hero of the world and still worry about if you’ll be able to eat that night cuz you have no money after using it on rent. You can be hero of the world but still come home to an empty house with no friends and family.
Some superhero media overdo it with this subject, however, to the point where it feels too packed and just begging you feel something when you’ve seen it a thousand times before.
No more “I’m 40 years old and my family died I’m so depressed and angry but I hide it” heroes. More Peter Parkers. More young people going through the struggles of being a hero.
Becoming a fan of Spiderman as a preteen changed my life. Ik it’s so dramatic and corny to say that, but it’s true. I’ve never related to a character so much.
Watch me write a whole essay on this for college when I’m given the chance lolololol Anyway go see Spiderman BND goodnight sleep tight
"spiderman brand new day has a good plot"
looks inside plot
''there is no righteousness in suffering alone and isolating yourself from everything is never the answer because you'll eventually start to lose sense of who you are as you spiral further into depression and suicidal ideation this is why you need to let people help you and allow yourself to believe in a better future even if it feels impossible at times''
well shit. it does have a good plot
edit: yes i know this is the theme not the plot. i wrote plot, you still get the point. deal with it
inspired.
Marvel and Kevin Feige cancelling and shelving black actor-led projects like Wonder Man and Blade and sidelining characters like Monica Rambeau but has future plans to put fugly zionist and Thin Blue Line nutjob Jon Bernthal in several projects...it's so bleak.
It is also not lost on me the disproportionate spotlight female characters in the MCU get, but sure put this misogynist bum who goes out of his way to associate with Hollywood abusers and predators of women in everything Feige!
And the amount of women in the Marvel fandom continuing to shamelessly support this man especially on here 🥴
I love Spooderman so I made a fanmade print for BND to sell
real frame btw
Eat up, Queers. Happy pride month.
