A little note I’d like to make for those who run into this argument:

Whether you enjoy BakuDeku romantically or platonically it is something that must recover into a healthy relationship period whatever label you put on it.

People often try to defend the idea that it’s “okay to like a BakuDeku friendship but not a romance” but either other way if that viewpoint comes from an “it’s abusive” standpoint the romance or the friendship shouldn’t be okay with you.

Abusive friendships exists, relationships are built on mutual respect and trust regardless of the label. Don’t let anyone convince you only the friendship is appropriate, if you can support and acknowledge the recovery from there then you can understand it in a romantic perspective as well (whether or not you like it).

If you are one to argue BakuDeku is 100% destructive you must practice this mindset both for it platonically and romantically, you can’t pick and choose when it’s problematic to you.

yeah that’s what i’ve usually seen as the basis of anti-bkdk arguments. mostly just irks me when someone will use this line of logic and then turn around and hypocritically ship katsuki (who theyve labelled an abuser) with other characters like that magically makes it ok. bkdk are literally healing right before our eyes and slowly addressing their past that honestly it surprises me that people would ignore catharsis in favor of flimsy chapter 1 ship hate

could i ask what you mean by ship? and why you categorize the ship of bakugo and midoriya as abusive? I think based on my blogging choices you can guess that we have differing beliefs/standards. 

I cannot speak for some others, but I can assure you that I, as well as the shippers that i associate with, do not ship bakugo and midoriya with the intent of harming others or to romanticize abuse.
