Day 10 - 15
So I haven't been keeping up with the blog! Didn't go to the gym much last week my hours at work didn't work well with it. I worked 9.30-5.30 Monday-Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1-9pm and then back to 9.30-5.30 on Saturday. I walked to and from work all week but I did a full body workout at the gym on Wednesday. This week is going to be easier as I am working 9.30-5.30 Mon-fri I am still recovering from 6 days for 2 weeks but tomorrow I am going back to the gym! Complete the rest of the week and Saturday with the gym!
Day 9- Tuesday 11th July
So had to stay up late to get brents work clothes cleaned as kids "forgot to do them" just more stress on me. Didn't get much sleep again. Walked to work and bussed it home. Didn't go to gym that is 3 days in a row. Got to go tomorrow. Didn't go to the bar after the game everyone on the team is tired why the ballhockey schedule was made the way it is is beyond me, they don't have another game till one week on Sunday that is 12 days!! Feeling exhausted going to bed early, kids are doing the laundry going to the gym tomorrow got to get back on track!
Day 8 - Monday 10th July
Didn't sleep well last night, only got a couple of hours sleep. Went to work, Walked to work but didn't go to the gym. I wanted to go see brents team play again. Marcus was also playing and he managed to roll his ankle. Went to locker room again. Had a stressful day with the kids. Going to gym in the morning before work as I want to go to the ball hockey as Brent thinks he is going to play!
Day 7 - Sunday 9th July
Well today I slept in and actually got a good night's sleep. Aching a lot from 6 days of the gym so decided to have a day off. Went to ballhockey Brent didn't play but he was on the bench coaching the team. They won and then went had a few at the locker room. Had a good day. Back to the grind tomorrow!
Day 6 - Saturday 8th July
Walked to work today, I was worried I wouldn't have enough time as I was working till 5 and the gym at the rec centre is only open till 7 on a Saturday but I was able to finish work an hour early so I had enough time. Did 20 minutes on the treadmill and tried the dumbbell training for back, triceps and biceps. It felt good to try something new. I am not sure if I will get to the gym tomorrow as buses are terrible on Sundays and Marc and Brent both have ballhockey games that I don't want to miss in the afternoon. So I may just do some home exercises in the morning. After 6 days of going to the gym everyday I think a day off isn't bad.

Day 5 - Friday July 7th
Walked to work today, went to the gym and showed precious how to do a workout, she is wiped, it is the first time she has worked out properly. We did core and legs and 15 minutes on treadmill as the others were in the pool for the free swim and we only had an hour. We had a good workout and now precious is tired. Plan for tomorrow is to work on the core and upper body. I have been trying new exercises after researching and I am looking at moving away from the machines. I thin k with the free weights I will have a better chance of achieving my goals.
Day 4 - Thursday July 6th
So I couldn't do much of strength training today. I think my muscles needed a day of rest. I did do 20 minutes of cardio on treadmill using cardio challenge level 3, Found it slow so will have to level 4 tomorrow. Tried to do strength on upper body but it didn't feel good so decided to give it a rest tomorrow I will resume strength training. Tomorrow I have precious coming to the gym with me. Going to teach her how to do cardio and strength effectively. Even though I couldn't do strength training today I feel having a rest day after 3 days of strength training is not a bad thing. I am still keeping up with this fitness journey.
Day 3 - Wednesday July 5th
I have decided to start the morning exercises on Monday as my body is still adjusting to workingout everyday. Went to the gym did 20 min on treadmill, I did do cardio challenge again but did level 5 which is a little too fast for me as I had to change the speed. Going to try level 3 tomorrow. I did strength on my lower body today. I am already finding that I am not so stressed and I feel better than I did. I am very optimistic that this is working.
Day 2 -Tuesday 4th July
So 2nd day in a row went to gym. This time 20 minutes on treadmill using cardio challenge and then upper strength training. Still need to figure out routine that is best for me. Didn't do exercises in the morning will attempt to start that tomorrow as it looks like I am going to bed at the right time tonight. Plan Do home exercises in morning Go to gym and do lower strength exercises. Need to record everything better. Need to record steps, water and food intake, all exercises Need to take pic in bikini or workout clothes for before and after pics.
Day 1 of fitness!
Ok so started again but this time I am working at it! I took one look at myself in the mirror in my bikini and didn’t like what I saw, i want to loose the double chin and tummy and I want to look hot again! So here goes day 1 went to the gym at the rec centre did 15 min on treadmill and did some strength exercises on whole body but not much. I need to figure out a routine that works. I am thinking that I should do some at home exercises to as by the time I get to the gym after work it is close to 6 which is ok but it means I am not getting dinner till 8pm. Plan Figure out routine Do some at home routine in the morning before work.
New to this!
So I am starting to write a blog about my adventures as a busy wife and mother. I am trying to change things for the better, things have been hard, I work in a job I don't particularly like! I like the people but this job isn't something where I can go further, I know that. I can't change my job right now, finances don't allow me to change jobs unless I get a new job but there isn't much work around here unless I want to do the same job for a different company. I have decided I am going to change other things! Today I joined hubby and myself at a gym, I love going to a gym but found it could be lonely when on my own, we have joined a new to this area gym where I already have a friend who is a member. It helps that the friend is in the same position as me and that we can work out together. I will also go with hubby but he isn't so into the classes he really wants to loose weight and gain muscle, being in the shape he is in he will have to take things slowly, I am however looking forward to us going through the fitness journey together! We are changing our eating habits along with bringing in exercise. My goals right now are to loose the tummy and get toned up, I would also like to start running in the spring. I have started this blog where I can update on a daily basis, log down both my failures and my triumphs along this journey! I have a basic plan, Go to the gym at least every 2 days (to start) Stop eating processed food and try to cut out sugar Stop eating fast food We are going to start with the weekend being cheat days as with kids hockey usually takes over the weekend Drink more water Hopefully writing this blog everyday will make me accountable for everything I do. Tomorrow we are going to the gym to get our tags (due to the ice storm I signed up online) we will get shown around and we will be able to set things up and then we will go from there.
