For Travel Tuesday and Throwback Tuesday (August 14, 2014): The Doctor Who World Tour made its way to the US and New York for the Deep Breath premiere plus a Q&A at the Ziegfeld Theater. Earlier in the day, they took some sightseeing of the city (Peter taking photos of Jenna was from Doctor Who: Earth Conquest). Outside the Ziegfeld, the pair were interviewed and photographed left and right (Peter’s “Please be on my side” is from Fangirl Magazine Exclusive while him and Jenna getting photos together is from AP Archive). One interviewer asked them about the direction of the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald’s relationship in Series 8. They met some well-known Whovians including a child interviewer Lindalee Rose and digital artist Alice X. Zhang.
As usual, you do great work. These are some wonderful highlights.
The whole World Tour was terrific, but my gosh…how great did Peter and Jenna look in NYC? I’m glad they took so many clothes with them. Wow!

Thank you for being a friend - I have just been informed that today is “National Best Friend’s Day” here in the United States. I, of course, couldn’t let this momentous occasion pass without a salute to my favorite “best buds”, Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman. I just wish I had a friendship that was as strong as what these two seem to share.

P.S. Included below is further proof of how much Peter (and the Doctor Who cast) value Jenna’s friendship. When the two were separated during filming of series 8 (Jenna was making FLATLINE and Peter was filming MUMMY ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS), Jenna sent Peter a video of herself sadly singing “All By Myself”. As an answer video, Peter used his phone to record the Mummy cast singing the theme to the “Golden Girls”. They played the video at the Doctor Who Festival in Sydney. It’s a riot!
