Today and tomorrow are the last days to see John Wick: Chapter 4 in IMAX or Dolby! I wish it was for longer than just this past weekend 😭 I wanted to rewatch this weekend but I had to grab my tickets quick so I can experience it in IMAX again!
John Wick: Chapter 4 Thoughts
First off, I love Keanu Reeves. He’s one of the very few actors you can safely get behind with no bs.
It’s hard being a Keanu fan online because it’s filled with weird ass men and definitely not a lot of Black girls like me. Black girls love Keanu! I am so happy for @teejaywyatt1 for creating the Skyline series. It keeps me excited with something to look forward to with an actor and series that I love! You’re so talented! Thank you! 🥹✨
There’s such a stigma that women can’t or don’t like movies like John Wick which is far from the truth and I’m over that narrative.
I’ve been excited for John Wick: Chapter 4 for well over a year and have loved the franchise for years. I’ve always loved Keanu but John Wick kicked that love into overdrive.
Now about Chapter 4. I saw it on Saturday and I’m still processing my love for the movie. Here’s a few quick points:
Cinematography - the yellow, orange and reds (in contrast to blues and purples from Chapter 2) to emphasis danger, warning, alarm, urgency wasn’t lost on me. The overall cinematography whooo🤌🏾 perfect! When Winston had us stop and to look at the sunrise it WAS beautiful.
Wardrobe - the suits were immaculate! Keanu always looks good! Donnie Yen‘s simplistic chic turtle neck and Bill Skarsgard was stepping on necks with his amazing suits wheeewww!
The club - the people were dancing so hard in the background and it was so damn funny!
There’s just too much to say but I’ll end it with this. People think these movies are all about violence and aggression. I can see beyond the amazing talented skillful fights into the heart of the story which is: love.
When he dredged down the steps and stripped each piece of his past off his body you heard the inaudible scream of anguish, relief and grief he wasn’t able express. To experience the love he felt that will take you to the far corners of the earth and deep into the depths of your soul is beautiful and profound.
It’s something I wish all of us can experience.

I watched John Wick Chapter 4 and I have so many thoughts! For now I’ll say it was amazing and I’m going to see it again!!!! I HAVE to take advantage of seeing Keanu in the theaters! It was EVERYTHING! The first 3 are streaming on Peacock if you want to catch up but don’t let that hold you back. Go see it, just get up have a good time and go see it!
