When it came to self preservation, Zedaph had always been terrible at it. In the short term sense, at least. Zed was prone to walking into traffic and falling down stairs, and had a particularly bad sense of fight or flight.

Tango, on the other hand, was worse at long term preservation. He could throw himself into a project for so long he forgot to eat or sleep, or other simple things.

It was one of the reasons they balanced each other out so well. Zed would remind Tango to sleep, and Tango would pull Zed back before he stuck a hand into open flames. Zedaph sighed, staring into the bushes. If Tango were here, he'd have stopped him.

But his curiosity always seemed to get the best of him. And come on. It was a talking wolf. What was Zed meant to do, ignore it?

your blorbos don't have to be romantic to love each other (#platonic love wins) but also they don't have to love each other to be romantic. ship those characters as a loveless marriage. make their feelings tragically one-sided with no hope of change. put them in a dead end relationship that they both know needs to end but neither are willing to admit it yet. more bad ships forever. its enrichment for me.
