There's a Standard Trans Debate Argument that goes something like

"It's concerning that there's a skew in the gender ratio of youth transitioners, it means that more young people falsely believe themselves to be trans men!"

And while the moral panic around young trans men has always been nonsense I do wish there was more critical engagement with the mass suppression of young trans girls who don't feel safe enough to pursue transition until adulthood issue. I think people skew wayyyy too conspiratorial when it comes to transmisogyny in any sort of space.

Very rarely is there a deliberate effort to oust trans women, more often than not people simply do not trust trans women at a baseline, and will have much less tolerance and show greater scrutiny without even really thinking about it. By casting transmisogyny as deliberate focused efforts, you'll be unable to recognize it when it happens right under your nose
