It's shocking the evolution of Druck from the first season to the second. I confess that I had a love-hate relationship with Alex in the first season, and he became the version of William that I had less positive expectations. When the second season premiered I was not very excited and I was watching some pieces of clips here and there, but yesterday everything changed. I decided to watch the complete episodes that have been released so far and I need to talk about the evolution of Druck.

The actress who plays Mia is excellent and is bringing / approaching in a very different and unique way a version of Noora, I'm very impressed. The script is getting more and more away from the original and this has been great. The photography, palette of colors, songs and the tuning of the characters has been great too.

And guys, by far, what I'm most impressed / shocked about is Mia and Alex's chemistry. I hated and did not see at all a nice way to build this couple in the first season, but then came the second and totally surprised me. I'm loving that they are giving more emphasis on Alex's improvement, this is very important and I missed in Skam OG.

And guys, I'm sorry, after this fourth episode I gave up and I'm really looking forward to Mia and Alex getting together, and I want to know more about each one's story.

This week without updates is killing me, I want to know what's happening to Mia and Alex!!!

Skam NL has really just surpassed any expectations I ever had for a remake. I am a big fan of some of the other remakes (honestly I’m still crying over my first love Druck getting a 2nd season), but Skam NL has my whole heart in a way I didn’t think was possible since the OG. The small changes they’ve made, the extra scenes, the development of the girls friendships, the changes to Eva and Vilde’s counterparts, the slight changes to Lucas, LIV!!!!!, Janna actually feeling like part of the group. I know Imaan’s actress wasn’t available as much this season but I already know that if a season 4 were to happen, she’ll kill me with her hidden vulnerability just like Sana did. The way that the show is shot, the music, how much time and care has been put into the characters Instagram accounts. It’s organic and feels natural in the same way the original felt.

Honestly, the Dutch team has done Skam fans so proud. I applaud everyone who worked on the show and everyone who has taken the time to translate clips for foreign fans. Here’s to praying for another season! 🙏🏼
