Rhaenys Targaryen's dragon, Meleys. Meleys, called the Red Queen, was a she-dragon ridden by Princess Alyssa Targaryen and later Princess Rhaenys Targaryen. Meleys had scarlet scales and pink membranes on her wings, for which she received her alias, the Red Queen. Her crest, horns, and claws were bright as copper. The dragon was described as "splendid" and "magnificent".

Greens taking meleys' head and showing it off in the city is another one of the examples how they are more hightower than targaryen, how they did more damage to the targaryen legacy than any other despite having the name 'targaryen' attached to their names, because dragons are pride of the house targaryen and a real targaryen would never do this, instead show respect to what made them even if it was from the opposing party. This is symbolic, just another way to say that neither aegon nor aemond belong on the throne and never will.

Before Rook’s Rest, they were ridden side by side for decades by two people madly in love, then by mother and daughter.

Do you think, while Vhagar’s jaws were clamped shut around Meleys’ throat, that either of them wondered how they got there?

Posting a day late, but here is a WIP inspired by the prompt for Day 7 of Rhaenys Week: Meleys 🥹

One of the first things I ever wrote for this fandom was Rhaenys, having just given birth, bringing newborn baby Laenor to the window to introduce him to Meleys - this is a follow up to that, of Rhaenys bringing Laenor down to the caves for the first time. Considering that she lost her first rider to childbirth, I think Meleys would keep an extra close eye on Rhaenys during her pregnancies and has probably put up with more antics from Laenor and Laena than most dragons would tolerate!
