Why is this relevant to domain value? SEO and PPC campaigns have had a great impact on keywords. One of the hard value indicators of a domain’s value relies on whether the domain name will have high traffic because it contains a frequently used keyword. With the development of SEO, different types of keywords emerged. An organic keyword is used in search engine optimization to attract free traffic to a website. These keywords do not involve the exchange of money but reflect the representation of content: biking, for example. The most relevant hits for a search with that keyword will have biking in the web content. PPC keywords, in contrast, are bid on by advertisers as part of pay-per-click marketing campaigns. The keywords: road bike, may have been bid on by a company specializing in that product or that type of product and may lead to more ads.
